Jay Z would giving game the whole song he explained how he wished instead of buying V-12 engines, he shoulda brought a building for 2 million because now it worth like 30 million

He saying save money to build generational wealth to pass like the Jews do.

He said why rent instead of buy

He used a famous quote from the OJ doc on ESPN made in America when OJ white friend asked him why you with all these n-words and his other friend asked OJ was offended that the white person said the n-word. Oj had smiled and you see they don't see me as black, I'm not black, I'm OJ.

The hook was a play on words like when Hov said "OK" he reminding people no matter how much money you got, how much fame you got. You still black in their eyes so you will always be less than.

The fact that JayZ publiclly became the face of Brooklyn gentrification and illegal government eminent domain abuse for the russian business man and Bruce Ratner, for fukking pennies of ownership. Then bragged about how he "profited" publiclly, it really tells you all you need to know about Jay-Z.

He isn't Rick Ross with this shyt, he is just riding a wave.
He isn't even a real businessman when you recognize the fact he had to sell a large stake of Tidal to spring because Tidal was out of operating capital. RocNAtion Boxing folding after losing money.

But I notice he always begs and appeals to black people to buy his product, but he has no problem fukking a large amount of blacks to be a figure head for whites.
Beware of greeks baring gifts

But I do wonder when we'll get off of the craze of repackaging black pathology for our own consumption and others.
The video obviously hit you in a way it was supposed to if this is the case.
I reckon very few black entertainers will ever hit you over the head with something dope in this day and era like Jay did and still come off as thought provoking.

Gonna have to watch this video a million times cause it's too good.

No matter how much things change, things stay the same. That's the message. Why are we seeing imagery that should of been in the past era of our collective consciousness as americans? Cause that imagery never went away. Hell it's stronger than ever.

See: Bamboozled (Dir. Spike Lee, 1999)

And the sad part, it's not white people in Blackface. It's us acting like we are in Blackface minstrel. More than half of hip-hop and the images they use to portray it could be classified as minstrel. Even the showcasing of white, mixed, non-Black women in the videos.

It's not Black unity and it's not our history. Back in the day, most of this would be universally condemned amongst Black people. Because we cared and wanted to RESHAPED our public image ourselves for the first time -- due to those racist images. Now, it's whatever.

He used the images of racist cartoons to remind those who forgot that you are and will always be viewed by others as a N-word.

It was "wake the fukk up" imaginatry. It also a embracing of "yeah - you called me and view me as this - but "fukk you" - I'm Black and I love being Black. You can't embarrass me or make me ashamed of my ancestors or for who I am."

I knew exactly what he was trying to portray and get across. Also, lots of Black people do not know and DO NOT WANT TO know how they are viewed by others and how their ancestors were treated and viewed as in the past.

Black men and women think by dating, having friends, working with people of all colors that means ish is different - and they are different - but they are not. And those non-Black friends and mates that they are kicking with know+ their families know that they don't look at them as the same. Black people need a Black wake up call.

Smart dumb nikka here.

Not really that hard to process what Jay Z is doing.

Dude is the epitome of the microwave repackaging.

Guy is a fraud.

The album concept was probably Beyonce's idea.

Pull my receipts - my profile and post are open. But, sadly, you are wrong.

I made a post about how Black men should stop calling Black women "Bedwenches" due to the history of our ancestors and the women who were forced to be "bedwenches" and "bedbucks."

I take history and my ancestors really serious. I think it's disrespectful.

And what does that have to do with anything I said or contributed to this thread?

Have a good day

Also, @SunZoo and @Abogado don't get me wrong, Bamboozled is one of my favorite Spike Lee films. He hit the ball out of the park with that one. Still to this day.

spike lee is the vessel upon which bamboozled came from and his character in timeline at that time.
was not questioned from a black nationalist point of view.

spike lee is a black nationalist for real.

jayz is just a part time sucka tho.
just like krs was a part time sucka, tho.

I guess when kids ask us about hiphop and the collective does not keep it real.
no wonder they look down on us.
at least I know I got the people of all ages tho for real.

I can't believe people are letting the person who aided exactly in why shyt is exactly the way it is act like Carnegie the philanthropist.

the collective youse out there are sheep.

I agree with a lot of shyt he's saying on this album, but I'm actually sure most do.

Here's the thing about financial advice, most people know this stuff. People like to think their folks don't, but any average income person of any race knows this stuff. "Save money, don't spend money." shyt most of the people here on the coli talk about this shyt every other day.

People do try to make investments and think long term, but not everyone's investments get red hot, some even end up throwing away their money on it.

So why did Jay make it?

Being a go-getter and grinding no doubt are apart of it. Investing is no doubt apart of it too. Hard work, all that. That's mandatory.

But you still need luck and chance at the end of the day. Things out of your control have to line up.

You don't think it has anything to do with fortune that Jay had been given gifts of his own? We're talking about the master of the double/triple entendre. You can't buy that.

People can spend their whole lives trying to write lines like that and Jay comes up with it messing around in the studio and everyone like :ohhh: because they're that great while those lines other people spent years on get the :mjlol: Then to add to it the demeanor and other aspects about him that folks like and respect. Dude was born to be in his position.

Dude obviously has fortune favoring him. Same goes for KDot. Just like cats who were born 7' and can ball in the NBA.

One can even say he's fortunate that he came during an era with no mumble rap. If dude was a new artist today and dropped RD, most folks would've probably ignored it. Dude was there at the right place and right time.

shyt, people could invest "wisely" and follow PhDs' guesses about where the money's going to go. Many people do and secure solid money. But then there are those who had just happened to throw $100 on bitcoin. Some people even forgot they had any to wake up one day and all of a sudden realize they're millionaires.

Random number generators/probability. It's what the world around you is built on. It's also exactly why you're you. That's the real lesson.
