so, i guess you missed this whole thing.
plus, when jay called this the story of oj.
how do you not know jayz's mythos in full and you are from ny and have the area code in your username.

so, like i said you don't know this culture and i spelled out everything for you in time as to the reveal of the rant.
plus, this culture is prescient and everyone should have easily had the same thought../
yet, since people are cultureless sellout sheep.
who want to be cool and fit in at the behest of everything.
including the culture of the social order of impoverished artists.
that cultivated everything for you when you had nuffin.
yet, you wanna sellout like jay did and get props for it too.
which is why this whole shyt has gone unchecked and uncalled out by anyone publically on the board but me.

the collective of sellout nikkaz on here are clowns and sheep.

props to the people who see the real and know not only history but the culture history and norms.

stop letting these big willies the wack and unoriginal be the fake playalistic voices y'all follow.
let a camel nikka throw banned and racist imagery in your face.
like he was some qwan of virtue to the culture.
when he the next biggest sellout.

y'all bugg'n...

I don't see this lack of respect for hip hop or acting like he not part of it or not black like you do that's the thing.

I think of it more like he talking to these rappers more than regular folks in the verses. If it was, then I'd argue against him not saying much about any institutions in America.

I also don't see a problem with using that imagery because he's making a point of it like the cotton being used to make KKK hoods. He's admittedly saying no matter rich or poor now or then black folks in America will still be known as nikkas. He's talking about the culture more than the actual content. Folks making money and sound more interested in splurging when he may have rapped about it but he did something with it. It would be hypocritical if he ain't acknowledge his own dumb shyt.

But I do wonder when we'll get off of the craze of repackaging black pathology for our own consumption and others.
The video obviously hit you in a way it was supposed to if this is the case.
I reckon very few black entertainers will ever hit you over the head with something dope in this day and era like Jay did and still come off as thought provoking.

Gonna have to watch this video a million times cause it's too good.

No matter how much things change, things stay the same. That's the message. Why are we seeing imagery that should of been in the past era of our collective consciousness as americans? Cause that imagery never went away. Hell it's stronger than ever.

We'll get off the craze when we stop identifying with n1ggerdom.

No sense letting this stuff sit in the back corners of our mind, put it on the table and examine it for what it is. A lot of people will wonder why he went with the Steam Boat Willie style animation. You're gonna have more people who have a problem with this than they do with actual minstrel acts they try to put at the forefront of the industry.

why is it jayz's fault that the whole industry followed him?

seems like its the industry's fault for being a buncha suckers to start?

if hes saying this stuff on the album with no action, then yeah, call him a sellout, but i dont think he's a sellout for making music like this now. especially since hes talked about his reasoning behind the move since the black album. its not like this shyt is out of nowhere with jay.

i think it sucks he felt he had to wait til he was like 800 mil deep in worth before he could start talking about social issues on record, but better late than never.

breh really dont have to do any of this. he could take beyonce and his kids and go live on their own tropical island estate and never deal with yall nikkas ever again. but hes still here trying to do something.

are yall mad jay aint the same jay he was in 97?

Again, I'll say it... the paradoxical nature of all his chastising is hilarious. But let's just embrace the message... ALL of the messengers these days are egregiously flawed. :snoop:

Funny how y'all are so fast to dismiss Art, missing the whole premise of the game Jay is trying to give y'all. :mjlol:
No. I've thought Art is an idiot for years.

Stop using terms like ******dom. Chris Rock spoke on how he regrets that skit and you guys take Jay's words to support your own bullshyt. Jay has been talking ownership and shyt from day 1 and very explicitly around kingdom come. The very notion of black pathology has been dismissed @Sagat you guys need to read more. Why are only black people talked about that way?

@Art Barr finnaly hits one out the park. This thread is spot on.

The whole INDUSTRY following this nikka Jay-Z's 1990's mantra (money/status over everything)

Now 20 years later when he's an actual boss he talking about investment and black owned business...

This nikka's hustle game is amazing. And y'all father-less chumps fall for it every time. :laff:
says the nikka who stans a rapper in his late 30's who post fake pictures on social media :laff:

i actually agree with you but i have hope for him. Jay didnt sell out alone though. The entire game did.....but im hoping maybe jay has had an enlightenment and maybe now he wants to change his sellout nature to save his legacy by righting some wrongs.... Yourre saying this is all just another money grab?! DAMN. Thats cold. That would be so sad for it to end like this.
You can't rap. Your flow is garbage.

mu number four rating on my debut record on a grassroots site amount my peers four years after it was wrote says other wise tho.
my draw in the real world on the underground flanking a legend says otherwise, tho.

you can't dispute a fact and the fact I can really really rap is a fact, nikka.
