Classic scene
Son it’s an obvious typo. I clearly meant MVP votes, which is why I edited it. As for Bruschi, he and many members of the Patriots defenses from back then don’t like how much credit Brady gets so they try to play themselves up and downplay Brady because they feel they don’t get that 85 Bears type of love. They are clearly underrated but none of that outside of 01’ shows up in the SB and that’s what people remember. They actually did more of their job in 07 when Brady had elite weapons and that’s why I put that on him.
What people recall is 29 points in one half in 03, a respectable 24-21 game in 04, blowing a huge lead versus Peyton in 06. And then when Brady came back after the knee injury teams were driven by offense to the point where Brady made the SB with a bottom 3 defense - something no one else had ever done. It’s the full body of work. People are trying to cut and slice up Brady’s career in a way as to say that Patty is on pace to surpass him but if anything, Patty’s career shows how hard it is to keep playing the same way with roster turnover and how things have to go your way. Those 49ers mistakes were the same type of breaks the Patriots used to get and then Mahomes capitalized like Brady used to do. But this argument of Mahomes doing more that people are trying to make is absurd given how his SB victories have played out.
So the playoffs mean nothing?
Brock Purdy got a second chance in OTMahomes is definitely nice and that’s why is disheartening that he gets so much help from the refs with them not calling all the holds his Oline be doing.
They don’t need to give him extra help
Brock Purdy got a second chance in OT
But Peyton was ass in the playoffs. Dude aint even top 15 statistically speaking.
Old Brady beat Prime Mahomes, it is what it is and yall would feel the same way if it was the other way around
Look at this lie. That wasn't prime Mahomes
In what sport is a first year starter "in his prime?" He even admitted to not being good at reading defenses when he threw for 5,000 and 50. This version of Mahomes where he takes what the defense gives him wasn't present until last season.
QB's have always been seen as entering their prime at 30. He's 28.
Yeah, he still has more work to do to pass Tom...but this is ominousHe has all the intangibles that Brady has plus the obvious talent advantage. He's the best ever. But it feels disingenuous to put him as the greatest yet when he's still writing his story and hasn't had the longevity that Brady had. I think two more makes him the greatest football player ever for sure. With a decade left in his career he'll get to 5.
Peyton was not ass in the playoffs that bullshyt needs to stop
I don’t care what Bruschi says. We watched the games what are you talking about?
