Agreed . despite the havoc this pandemic is going to cause it presented a Golden opportunity for Democrats to pivot themselves to the left and propose progressive ideas. Now Trump has seized that position and may be reelected off the strength of bailing out American citizens.
Also the economic fallout from this crisis could have been a great opportunity to implement the Green New Deal and totally transform our economy. Trump isn't going to do shyt when it comes to climate change (which is a slow moving threat that is exceedingly worse than coronovirus).
Establishment Dems spent so much time tearing down the only candidate whose proposed policies resonate in a troubling time like this and instead propped up a neoliberal who may end up losing in the general.
