Calling it socialism isn't going to make people think it's socialism.

It's a continued effort by the left in losing the messaging battle.

Providing social welfare for the disadvantaged isn't socialism. The left has allowed conservatives to call it that and are now spending all they time trying to convince people how socialism is okay while also why calling low interest loans, a form of corporate welfare, socialism and decrying it as bad.

It's just messy and detracts from the entirely valid point that the government should do more benefit struggling Americans during tough times.

Rich people that bank on the government saving them from their own screw ups isn't social welfare for the disadvantaged.
