the cost of living isn't the same across the entire state, that's what I'm saying. Everyone in CT is fukked by taxes but housing is vastly different dependent on whether you live southwest or other.. I agree with the phasing out starting too early but there was always going to be phasing in any bill.
bush's stimulus went to everyone...

and obama era had much higher thresholds for the middle class, he included the upper middle class in his legislation - i remember caps being something like 200k for individuals and 450k for couples - sure the coli will moan about that, but that's some crab shyt that the actual wealthy have weaponized and it has worked.

lastly, there really shouldn't even be caps when you can create aid packages for billion dollar corporations, yet a person making 100k is too wealthy to help? :camby:

edit: and those high COL areas are the dems base, lol @ cutting off your base because rural areas that don't even vote for you make less

Republicans and a couple blue dogs are trying to argue that someone making over $50k is doing well :mjlol: they are detached and/or just don't want to send out more stimulus to anyone, over $200k was never in consideration.

this is completely not the point as where we are today is a failing of where they started off...and it seems to be what they want to use moving forward. the middle class does not end at 75/150k

so because you’re fortunate enough to make more than most Americans no one should get relief if you can’t qualify?

Can you give me a sufficient reason why 75K should be the cutoff instead of 70K, 60K, etc.....

If you make more than $50K, you make more than 80% of the workers in the USA. Why should someone fortunate enough to make more than most Americans households get a stimulus check? :troll:

Stop the bullshyt and give it to everyone in the middle class. Dont let the republicans define middle class as people below 75K a year, its stupid and its gonna bite the dems in the ass in the long run like im telling you.

people are ok with whatever as long as they're under the threshold. nikkas dismissed 75k last year cuz most of them were under it, then politicians are like, "no, let's really make it for the poor/working class and go to 50k :lolbron:", now they're like "noooo 60K lives matter" :damn:

shyt should've been higher from jump

75k is not the cut off It’s phased out so everyone receives something unless you >87k as a single person and > 150k as a married person

88% of Americans qualify for the stimulus check.

I think everyone should get a check but the idea that since I don’t qualify I’m not voting is about as ignorant as you can be

The majority of people vote for the party that is going to benefit them the most. FACTS.

If the dems continue down the road of people earning more than 75K a year are somehow not middle class and deserve less than other non-struggling middle class people they gonna lose a lot of these suburban votes that won them states like GA. Like i said earlier, when that student loan forgiveness gets discussed and someone throws out that $75K number my wife is not going to be happy. She a nurse practitioner so her salary is high but she had to pay for all of it with student loans so her disposable income is not what you think it is.

student loan interest deduction which is a form of student loan forgiveness has the same type of phase out

Once again only 12% of Americans are not receiving a check due to the phase out.

focus on what you have and not what you don’t nikka. People getting a check will easily exchanged that to have a higher yearly income

Revolving something that seems less and less likely each day. Politics isn't a team game.
