If every person gets $1400, the stock market is gonna do a somersault and Biden will get the credit for it

Don't cave Joe...not one fukking inch

I really hope people don’t take their stimulus money and invest it in the market :snoop:

If yall get one and do that cool, each person is entitled to do what they want with it. But really I’m hoping some of this money can be used to actually be spent locally. I feel like investing it all in the market will just make the gap between the stock market and the actual economy even wider.

Shifting the income threshold while keeping the same check amount is the perfect moving of the goalposts for Dems when campaigning. Hopefully, there are enough of them that realize this will blow up in their faces.

No stimmy and no student loan program. That shyt would turn this independent into a life long Republican. :mjlol:

They better not fukk this up; I could care less about the stimmy even tho I want it. But if they don't get rid of these student loans:mjlit:

How is it flawed?

The point is to survive a pandemic. If you have a 50,000 a year job, nothing is stopping you from ordering doordash from a local restaurant tonight.

The enhanced UI is more than 1400.
That’s why it should go to the unemployed. If you make 45k and nothing has changed for you during this pandemic, you don’t need that money more than a stylist who has spent 6 months with her business closed but her 2019 1040 had her making 67k so she doesn’t qualify.

What math are you using?

If you lost income then you would fall under 50,000 and get the 1400.

In most places 50,000 is at least low level managerial positions. Those jobs are always hiring even if it’s in a field like Fast food or grocery stores.

The enhanced UI is what will balance out your income and since it’s guaranteed money for a defined time period you can budget further out.

The people making 22 an hour at a warehouse are ones who will usually end up losing jobs and having to settle for part-time after losing benefits.
It’s based on 2018 or 2019, most people ain’t filing tax returns before this goes out and even if they did they’re not likely to be processed in time for this to be based on 2020
