The fact that we still don't have a stimulus package while millions are struggling is sad and unacceptable. Congress should be forced to work on this everyday until a deal is made.

I was furious when I found out they only spent 20 hours in a 2 weeks pan working on this. If essential workers have to work crazy hours, so should they. No excuse.
There needs to be laws about this, same with when the government shuts down. Politicians shouldn’t be on breaks during times of crisis.

I wonder if the shooting today at the white house might be related to this. Maybe a frustrated individual who snapped and had enough of these politicians.

Still won’t do shyt, they just do more to protect themselves. But honestly politicians need to feel pin this is the main reason we face a lot of problems. They’re shielded from everything the working class is affected by. They have some of the best healthcare so they won’t fight for better healthcare for everyone.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
They kill me with this bs. We do got a magic money tree, they fukking made money out of thin air to pump up the economy.

His fekkit ass wasn’t saying that when he was giving tax cuts to millionaires and helping pass the stimulus :stopitslime:

If everyone got $2000 a month

1. Debts will be paid creating more disposable income.

2. Debtors income will rise.

3. Banks will loan more because borrowers won't have as much debt.

4. Savings will increase and more investments will rise creating increased net worth

5. People will spend more, creating more tax revenue.

6. People who never traveled will probably start.

7. Businesses will be created to replace the ones lost.

Or do nothing and.

1. People will fall deeper into debt.

2. People will lose their homes.

3. Net worth decreases

4. Competition for low wage jobs will rise

5. Employers won't have an incentive to increase wages as job supply will be less than demand

6. People won't have children as much

7. Social services will be burdened

Either way, the stockmarket will continue to rise and wall street/corporations will convince non finance savvy politicians that the economy has recovered.

Pelosi and Schumer need to retreat from hazard pay and opposition to liability protection. Spending is already down, just two weeks after unemployment ended. That shyt is crazy. I understand that "essential workers" need pay, but they have jobs and they're receiving pay checks and benefits. Unemployed people are not. The unemployed are the ones most adversely impacted by this pandemic and they need immediate help. Thousands are about to be evicted within days. This is not a game and I think House and Senate Democrats are treating it as if it is. Yes, Republicans are evil. No shyt. Tell us something we don't know. But, they've already said they will meet Democrats at 1 trillion. Just do it and help the unemployed or Democrats will lose votes in November. Bet on that.

Ain’t no bank handing out major loans to someone’s who income is a government payout.

Considering how Trump rolled back payday loan regulations (plus general financial illiteracy) that is where many poor people would get loans from.

:what:. fukk no.

Not only do essential workers not get the pay increase they deserve, but now businesses have no reason to adhere to any safety guidelines. So you're basically screwing them over twice.

Making hazard pay and liability protections redlines would be one of the only things dems did right.

Which means essential workers keep getting paid, albeit without hazard pay, and the unemployed lose their homes and starve. Sounds like a great strategy.
