fukking Neo-Liberals and their goddamn means testing bullshyt.

Let everyone eat for fukks sake.
This is that Obama half-measure shyt.

I can understand putting an income cap on it, but $65k is a fairly low bar. My broad is a gotdamn teacher and she BARELY hits under that cutoff.

You have people that make over $65k but have jobs where they can't really WFH and aren't getting paid. You also have (young) people making $50k but won't have any issues working at home through the quarantine. Best way to handle it is to set a cutoff that's fairly high (somewhere between $200k and $400k). Anyone in that zone is well past "middle class" status and more in the "upper middle class" to borderline rich lane.

This proves UBI is really needed. Even though I would change the way Yang want to implement it, he still deserves massive credit for bring this policy to the mainstream.
In some ways it shows it value, but ultimately I think the focus should remain on making housing, healthcare affordable, and education affordable.

If it remains unchecked, no amount of UBI can fix that.

Breh.

Republicans. REPUBLICANS. Have fully embraced SOCIALISM. Paying for kits, testing, paid leave, and giving out $2k to every family.

Shout out to #YangGang. But as much as people here despise him, you gotta give massive credit to #TheBern. He made this move to the Left extra mainstream.

This is from politico

House Democrats have long said the payroll tax cut was a nonstarter but were also lukewarm to the idea of just doling out cash payments. When a former economic adviser to President Barack Obama raised the idea privately to Democrats last week, Pelosi shot down the suggestion saying she didn’t want to write checks to millionaires.

Romney was ahead of the Dems in calling for direct cash stimulus to individuals.

Kennedy made his proposal after Trump signaled for direct stimulus to individuals.

Cut the bullshyt spin.
Because we know democrats prefer means tested approaches.

They don't think millionaires need stimulus checks.

Neither do progressives. At least that was an argument a lot of Sanders supporters were making on the Coli with regard to education. Or is this different because you think it makes the dems look bad? Serious question.
