I didn’t mind the non-linear time line but thought they spent too much time on Frannie and Harold for the first ep. Those are two of the least interesting characters, especially during the beginning but it was still a solid episode.

It should pick up from there once Flagg, Nick Andros and Larry Underwood show up

I thought the 1st episode was okay but the Stand should be better than okay.

For a miniseries this moved way too slow
Yea man the story deserves to hit the ground running. This was just OK and they seem to be focusing a lot of the story, at least for the first episode, on Harold when he wasn't that much of a focus in the book. Let's hope the 2nd episode picks up speed.

Everyone hates Harold. I never finished the book...library rental back in the day....but maybe I'll start up again.

This actually looks better than I thought it would.

CBS though. :patrice:

Why couldn't they make this shyt on HBO? It's a no brainer. Could've been the next "Game Of Thrones".

Fred.

Smdh why do I keep thinking they drop the whole series at once. They really like to make you wait week to week.

Great second episode. Didnt stray away from the book at all really. The guy playing Larry is killing it. I thought the flashbacks would be a problem but they aren't at all. That robbery scene with Lloyd and Andrew was spot on. Even used "pokerized". So far this is way better than I expected.

they cleaned Lloyd’s character up a little but I don’t mind it. In the novel he was pretty much just as bad as Poke just not as crazy.

Yea he just didn’t kill people like Poke and tried to place all of the blame on Poke, the Warden, his lawyer, basically everyone else. I wish they would’ve showed him struggling inside the prison more bc he was truly a piece of shyt. I wonder if they gonna do ol Trashcan Man.

Second episode was definitely better than the first. Dude who played Larry was the highlight for sure, not sure if I’ve seen him in anything before this. Skarsgaard was dope as Flagg in his little intro as well.

heather graham can’t act for shyt tho holy hell
He's the son from leftovers. He grew a beard

yeah it’s been a minute since I read the book but I remember then abducting and duct taping some dude and killing him gruesomely and Lloyd was like :yeshrug: but like I said it’s been a minute so I might be misremembering it

I know Ezra Miller is playing trash, so even tho he was comic relief in justice league he does have acting chops so hopefully he pulls it off

Nah you remembered right. I guess they decided to not shoot the scene. They tortured and murdered George for hours in his house. I think they killed a couple and stole their car which is what they used to pull up to the store to rob in this episode.

Really surprised by how much they are covering so fast. They are actually going into some good character development as well. They even got your boy Tom Cullen in this. M-O-O-N spells ouch:mjlol:
