can't take the reviews of some of you who clearly don't watch horror films or explore the genre of horror seriously. the "it wasn't scary" - wtf, really, your 25+ yr old ass is expecting to piss yourself....or didn't have enough killing/weird torture porn shyt? :dahell: that's not all horror is.

edit: and the breh complaining that none of the kids got killed...wtf :dead:
There's also a difference between HORROR and "BEING SCARED". There are some horrific scenes in this film where I covered my mouth and gasped. Of course we're not going to be as scared as we were when we were 11 watching the original IT.

Young black breh bossing up on that cac bully :salute:

Other than that I didn't really jump at all, the movie was very funny as well

And someone was talking about the acting being bad in the new movie but the acting is straight trash in the OG and its basically laughable in comparison to the one in theaters.. No joking

I enjoyed the movie. Was engaged the whole time, which didn't quite feel like 2 1/2 hours to me.

Tuesday night showing, not completely sold out but definitely packed with dots of empty seats sprinkled throughout.

Saw this in standard...I'm sure IMAX/XD would've been lit, but I agree this would've been insane in 3D. I wondered if it was originally planned then abandoned.

As a side note...found the new, shortened, non-verbal trailer for Flatliners funny as hell, as if the studio realized they damn near showed the whole movie in the original, long ass trailer.

That shyt wasn't scary at all:gucci:

Yall be getting scared/creeped out at the weirdest shyt.

In fact, nothing about a fukking clown should be scary or unnerving to a grown ass man/woman.

The best parts of the movie as a horror fan was the shyt you didn't expect to happen whether it was a jump scare or not

IT never scared me at all even as a kid. I liked the movie as a cult classic but this was by far the better movie

Bolded sorta makes my point. A lot of the horror shyt was predictable based on the music amping up. It took the surprise factor out of the equation more often than not.

Something like this works better, imo.

Eh, totally disagree with this. After a second viewing, my opinion of "the scares" remain the same. Of course no one is looking to be scared like a 6 year old. But some of the "scares" are downright goofy, like something you would expect in an amateur haunted house. It's still a good movie but the director has a firm reputation for doing great build up and falling short on the delivery of the actual horror.

For example? Like the coffin thing? I mean that house was essentially a haunted house lol

It is

That was more to the people trying to shyt on this one because "it wasn't like the first" when the first one was clearly worse...

But first was a classic for its time. It was never scary to me though, even as a kid. And now that I'm older, it was kinda terrible.

The acting was like some shyt you saw in a old ass commercial in the 50's. shyt wasn't funny, CGI was straight up shyt, and tbh Tim Curry overacted the fukk out of Pennywise

You mean the same performance that scarred an entire generation of kids who grew up and watched it? :stopitslime:
Scarred who :heh:

When I think movies that fukked with kids I think Freddy Krueger, Chucky, Poltergeist, etc... Which were all scarier and better movies than Tim Curry and IT..

I give IT props for what it did for clowns but thats it. There is nothing scary about fukking clowns though.. Sorry if you're offended because I think Tim Curry overacted... And he did

i think you're in the minority, IT was considered one of the scariest movies amongst my lil elementary crew, i mean when we got to high school cats still dropped that as top 3 :merchant: movies.

I'm not offended, it's just your opinion and your opinion is in the minority. All of my elementary and middle school group of friends were shook of pennywise. Maybe you were older compared to everyone else when we saw the miniseries. Those were all better movies but his performance alone is classic and was the only reason the movie wasn't complete and utter garbage and its a classic horror performance.

Exactly. My whole crew was shook off pennywise.
