Wasn't Colbert himself when he hosted the Correspondence Dinner and kill? He'll be great. Simmons wrote a solid article about the way the late shows are becoming internet driven (fallon as Kimmel) I wonder what Colbert will do to put his spin on it. And whoever said he can't interview is wrong. He's quick as hell on his feet.

The younger demographic doesn't fukk with the Tonite Show like that. When they do, it's Kimmel or Fallon.
It's not hate, I fukks with Colbert, but wondering if he can pull it off late night without the satire is going to be interesting.
He doesn't ask generic questions that will bore the audience, he asks more engaging questions from standpoint of something who obviously didn't read not inform of the issue. I'm not seeing how he terrible interviewer.
I am just surprised by the negative reaction. Colbert is a talented and engaging entertainer. To me he was the natural choice to replace letterman. His guest love him and to me he has that same sense of humor. I just thought he would receive a more positive reaction. he should do great.

edit: nm, video is longer than i thought. i mean, if he's just going to stay in character indefinitely than so be it.

wasn't conan paid around $50M by NBC to go away a few years ago??? I think he might be alright. plus he still got his show on TBS.
I guess it's a prestige thing, but him and John were already beating the networks ratings wise with 18-49 demographic.
This is interesting because I like most people only know Colbert from the Daily Show and Colbert Show where he was always playing a character.
