As far as Colbert not being funny except when doing satire. You dude only know him from the Colbert report. Dude was funny on the daily show, strangers with candy (highly underrated), and voicing for TV fun house on SNL. Dude has the ability to be hilarious outside of his ultra conservative personal.

They just started shooting that John Oliver show at the Broadcast Center. I know the Late Show will remain at the Sullivan Theatre and the production team will pretty much remain the same. When I found it was colbert, i told a prod manager here I dont know how well he'll be able to make the transition into the late show arena. We shall see.

Colbert is hilarious and has done tons of comedy and improv before the Report...he'll be fine. He'll prolly bring most of his staff and writers over, and they'll adapt to the late-night format easily

Conan's prolly my favorite late night host. Colbert's solid too. Went from watching both of their shows before their talk shows to eating off both. Ppl on here hating before Colbert even adjusts his chair
