But seriously. This is fukked us if true. Vince doesn’t just own the WWE, he essentially owns the video history of American professional wrestling. That shouldn’t be owned by the Saudi’s. So much footage would just disappear once they are in control. As much as people like to clown, American pro wrestling and it’s history actually played a big part in a large portion of peoples lives over here and is something that should be memorialized here.

Yep. Almost everyone I've ever met regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, politics, etc has either watched professional at some point whether it was as a child, teenager, adult, etc. Wrestling is carny AF and but it's an American institution.

As much as we rag Vince McMahon and WWE, he's one of if not the most important man in wrestling for the past forty years.

Obviously a sale of this magnitude doesn't take place in a matter of hours. This will take months to finalize.

I do find it strange that Steph stepped down on a tuesday instead of waiting for friday afternoon, and that immediately after she stepped down these rumors of the Saudis buying WWE start to circulate.

Especially since I'm not worried about the Saudis, I'm worried about Vince.

This is being overlooked a little.

There are going to be a handful of talent that want to leave just because of the Saudi Ownership, but there's probably a lot more talent that are pissed off about Vince forcing a power play that brings him back to head creative. They'll obviously have the money to throw around for talent, but will the talent want to work for a company that just overhauled their entire structure because a cranky billionaire wanted his old responsibilities back.

That's my exact concern. People are getting a new wind under Triple H- Hurt Business coming back together, Akira ain't in the gi, Nikki Cross took off that damn costume; storylines have a logical structure even if we might feel like they dragging on too long and whatnot but at least we can follow them. All that gon get thrown in the trash to make the 78 year old man child laugh.

And I fully believe that Steph and Triple H were behind the leaks.

One being that initially, she really did want to take time off for herself. Two, she loves her dad that much and wants to get out of the way.
