After a month of working out:

- Squatting 100 (started at 45)
- Deadlifting 145 (started at 115)
- Benching 70 (started at 45)
- Barbell Rowing 95 (started at 45)
- Overhead Pressing 45 (yeah... I've been plateauing this hard).

Loving this lifestyle. I'm going to be the greatest professional wrestler of all time.
My numbers now:

- Squatting 185
- Deadlifting 205
- Benching 95
- Barbell rowing 100
- Overhead pressing 55

Much stronger than before and I recently switched to Ice Cream Fitness 5x5. Focusing a lot on upper body now so I can reach my dream physique.

You started benching at 45 pounds? Are you not including the weight of the bar? :dwillhuh:

I started with just the bar. I could bench 65 to start, but I couldn't go a full 5x5, so I just started from ground-up. I was told not to ego-lift when I first started this journey 4 months ago.

I've noticed my lower-body is pretty dope. Squatting and deadlifting way more than my peers.

I made a thread about it but barely anyone checks it, figure I'd post it here. It's my 2nd week back in 4-4.5 years. Was gonna originally do the Jim Stoppani Shortcut to size workout but went on bodybuilding forums and everyone who is a beginner is following the plan below. For years people have been doing it.

Workout Programs

A Simple beginner's Routine
You will do 3 work outs per week on non consecutive days. The first work out is your heavy work out. The second work out is your medium work out, use 10% less weight for your work sets. The final work out for the week is your lite work out, use 20% less weight.

Do a lite warm up with 1/4 of your work sets weight. Do a medium warm up with 1/2 of your work sets weight. Do 2 work sets with the same weight. Choose a starting weight and start light.

Only the first three exercises require warm up sets

These are the seven exercises you will be starting with.

Squats
Bench Presses
Bent-Over Rows
Overhead Barbell Presses
Stiff-Legged Deadlifts
Barbell Curls
Calf Raises

You will be running this program on a five week cycle as follows:
The first week do all 4 sets for 8 reps.
The second week do all 4 sets for 9 reps.
The third week do all 4 sets for 10 reps.
The fourth week do all 4 sets for 11 reps.
The fifth week do all 4 sets for 12 reps.
If you got all of the required reps on the fifth week then increase the weight by 10% and

repeat the cycle. If you didn't get all of the reps on the fifth week then repeat the cycle with the same weight. You shouldn't need more than one minute rest between the warm up sets and you shouldn't need more than one minute thirty seconds between the work sets.
Do some cardio and abs work on non weight training days.

Any suggestions or feedback is appreciated.

1. Do yall take protein shakes on non-workout days? And if so, how much?

2. I'm tryna get bigger but I do have some gut. That gon naturally become muscle as I workout, or I gotta do something about that? Currently after every workout I do 2 sets of 25 reps of situps with a medicine ball
