Started rewatching The Wire

I’m currently at the end of Season 2, and it has been a CHORE to get through. I’m going to give season 3 about 4 episodes before I bush this.

Man, I wish I could do an “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind” type thing for this show and watch it for the first time over and over again.

You probably shouldn’t read too much about it online, some of the best parts might get spoiled for you.

I like spoilers. I actually seek them all the time. Even when I was watching Game Of Thrones

Season 2 is good, but Season 3 & Season 4 are in another stratosphere

One of the best shows i've ever seen but i'll be honest the shyt is super depressing to watch. Especially season 4 with them kids.
And I could never be a teacher in a school like that with such unruly kids. But when you think of some of these kids live in at home. shyt is depressing.

Ill keep it 100% anyone that really has a PROBLEM with season 2, has an underlying racism issue. Season 2 is easily the best TV DETECTIVE work your ever going to see out of any tv show. Yes they focused on the ports with frank, the greeks and ziggy, but they also showed how great bunk, freemon, and gregs were as police officers. Mcnulty obviously shined as well. Season 2 was essential and GREAT...who cares if they stopped showing the hood 24/7, they still gave it shine AND it was all for the BIGGER PICTURE because they went RIGHT BACK to the hood season 3 on top of not cutting the greeks out

It was a great season.

Folks who skip season 2 are legit retarded, just watching the show for fukkery/street shyt like a hood DVD or both.

Might as well fast forward all the police storylines during all seasons since it's mostly CACs in the police force/politics and not hood enough.

Season 2 is good, but Season 3 & Season 4 are in another stratosphere

I think those are the two best seasons. 4, then 3, with 1 not too far behind 1.

I always was very impressed by this fact about season 4: Two of the biggest and most popular characters are not in season 4 while McNulty also has a much smaller role, and the show still manages to keep its high level and arguably peak.

It’s pretty interesting rewatching it, you see little things that make a lot of sense later. Particularly season 4 with Michael’s character.

Early on, you can see Michael kind of knows Namond has a big mouth and is full of shyt, and will call him out on it. I think this is the first scene with them.



Mike also can see Randy will talk to try to get out of trouble, he figures out that Randy ratted out other students to the principal to lessen his punishment.

And then all the little clues regarding his abusive past was done well.

I’m on season four now season two definitely weak, but you have to watch it.

Season 2 has boring parts compared to the other seasons but it is really good. I feel like it’s the glue of the show.

Season 2 was great because it showed how America fukked many unions over.

I remember how excited the feds were to break up the long shore man union versus going at the drug problem.

It was an important season and really dope and I feel many people were missing the lessons being taught.

Season 3 is the best season I’ve ever seen for a TV show.
