Season 2 is the most important season.

Season 2 was great and further made the point the wire wanted to drive home which is corruption in Baltimore starts from the top down. The characters that were strengthened in season becomes essential for the rest of the series and prop Joe becomes one of the most important characters. The story of avon/D'Angelo in prison, Stringer and Avon growing apart and their conflict on how to handle things, them white kids dealing with the Greeks and how close they were able to even get to the Greeks considering only a couple of street guys ever got close to them, police work went next level in season 2 and the death of sabotka is one of the best scenes in the series, the Greek getting the call within minutes while frank walking up to them. Also showed how deep criminality goes into the police force it was guys working for the Greeks exposed in season 2 that never get exposed to Daniels and major crimes unit. Season 2 was great.

I started a rewatch a few months ago and stopped after season 3. Season 2 is genius but that's hard to see the firsrt time around. The dock shyt was dope, best investigation out of the whole series, all the police were on fire. Only thing that really fukks it up is Ziggy. If Ziggy was less annoying I bet money people wouldn't feel the same way about S2. Man, fukk Ziggy

Now season 3 is straight fukkery. From an entertainment standpoint gotta be my #1

I know nyggas on here love to say it, but season 2 is flat out boring. It is what it is.

You can say it’s important, shows how everything comes full circle , etc but it’s a chore to get through. I don’t know anyone is real life that was entertained by it. Only on the coli

Almost finished with the series, and if I had to rank them, leaving 5 out (have two episodes left), I’d go:

1 > 3 > 4 > 2

That’s not saying 2 is the “worst”, cause every season is pretty much great elite tv, but I just preferred those others more than that one. The sheer investigation of S2 was incredible though. My girl would rank season 2 last cause “too many white people were involved” There’s a case you could flip flop 3 and 1, and the dynamic of the kids in 4 was so good. Seeing Dookie hit a growth spurt between 4 and 5 is phenomenal show, and you can easily see the influence it has on Snowfall and basically every 50 Cent related show
