I dunno how people shyt on Season 2 when they introduced us to Bro. Mouzone!

Season 2 also introduced Cheese, The Greek and Sergei, and Bunny Colvin. In fact, season 2 is where Colvin gets inspired to run the Hamsterdam project.

The seeds for the co-op are planted, watered, and sprouted in season 2 as well.

I enjoyed Season 2. I've always said people just don't like it not because it's bad but because of the dramatic change in tone from season one. Ziggy is also one of the most extremely annoying characters in TV history so that didn't help either.

That switch in tone is jarring the first time around. The acting by Chris Bauer and Paul Ben-Victor are some of the best in the entire show.

Ziggy is beyond annoying, Nick is as meh as it gets, but the tie-in case and detective work are essential to the overall narrative...and showing there's a bigger picture than just the street, that there are games beyond the game.

If season 5 is as bad as season 2 then I'm in for a treat. I really enjoyed season 2

The general consensus (including my opinion) is that season five is the weakest of the seasons.

Still quality TV, but a step down from the previous 4 seasons. Season 4 is my personal favorite season of any TV drama ever, if not any genre.

Season 2 might not been the most exctiting season, but it was the most important season in the series. Season 2 you will have to rewatch again after you finish your first view of the series, then you will see how season 2 was the gel or glue of the series.

I'm in the middle of a rewatch to. I swear the funniest scene in the series to me is when Carver has Bodie in the interrogation room trying to play good cop and Bodie hits him with the slow "I want you to suck my dikk". Then while Carver is beating his ass yelling "you supposed to be the good cop you dumb muthafukka".

When it was first recommended that I skip season 2 they made it seem like the show was a complete set of new characters. They still had the same cops. Same dudes selling drugs. They just added the shyt with the piers and kinda focused more on that

I'm assuming season 5 is the one where it's more political. I wasn't the hugest fan of that 1. My shyt was the one when the younger kids had no respect for the ogs. I think his name was Marlo. And also when the cops let them do whatever they wanted as long as it was in a certain area

Season 5 was mediocre for the fact they only had 10 episodes to work with instead of the typical 13. So the writers had to start wrapping up the season by episode 8.

One of my favorite scenes of the series:

Avon talking to D at the library (Right before the inmates took those hot doses):

"You look dusty."

"That's the WEAK man's road you're taking....I ain't ever seen you as weak" (I've used this exact line in real life)

"If it ain't no thing, you should be able to give it a rest for a few days."

"I'm asking you man, out of love. It's always love, D" (Used this one too)

Watching that shyt for the first time since I had heard so much about it. Dope show. Just about to finish Season one

Man, I wish I could do an “Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind” type thing for this show and watch it for the first time over and over again.

You probably shouldn’t read too much about it online, some of the best parts might get spoiled for you.
