This is my point. I worked in retail got up to go manager in Walmart for 10 years.
Don’t know how many days I had to cover 3 departments cause an associate called out. I just did my best, they can’t fire me, I’m already over extending myself, I’m not going break my neck or stress out.
People will absolutely respect you for doing your best and they will feel like shyt once they realized you just doing your job and doing it to be best of your ability.
I taught this to my associates, don’t mean not to do your best, just don’t let it stress you, you only one person and what gets done, gets done and what doesn’t, doesnt

And this happen alot at restaurants. Where management puts too much burden on certain employees. To not have adequate cover, and put that much stress on the few folks who actually Give a damn is all too typical.
