  • Following her battle aboard the Star Destroyer and escape on the Falcon. Rey uses the newly gleaned information resulting from 3POs modifications and the translation of the dagger to travel to Endor. At this time, it’s a little unclear to me how Kylo gets from point A to point B, but supposedly he is waiting for Rey in Palpatine’s throne room aboard the wreckage of the second Death Star.
    • (Note: I assume he knows the location of the second wayfinder due to his newfound connection to Palpatine, but that's just speculation on my part. I think it's important to note that Kylo may have been there before considering that he had the charred helmet of Vader in TFA.)
  • Naturally, they fight. The specifics of this duel are unknown to me, but what I have been told about it is that it’s at this point when Rey begins to tap into some hatred to gain the upper hand and eventually defeats Kylo (Note: possibly destroying his lightsaber in the process, but that's more rumor than leak at the moment), leaving him for dead on the wreckage of the Death Star. Rey takes possession of Palpatine's wayfinder and leaves.
  • My sources tell me that the "Dark Rey" moment seen in the D23 footage is in fact a vision (described to me as thematically similar to Luke seeing himself as Vader in the cave on Dagobah). This apparently is a short sequence that happens right after Rey picks up Palpatine's wayfinder.
  • While lying in the wreckage of the Death Star weakened state Kylo Ren reportedly sees a vision of his father. (Note: It’s unclear to me if Han appears as a bona fide ghost or just through the magic of injury induced hallucinations, but this interaction supposedly acts as Kylo’s “come to Jesus” moment.) Han tells Kylo that it’s never too late to change and when he leaves Endor, he leaves not as Kylo Ren, but as Ben Solo.
  • This duel is a critical tipping point for Rey as well. I’m told that in the wake of her confrontation with Kylo, she takes the wayfinder and flees to Ahch-to to collect her thoughts. Her mindset is reportedly mirror Luke’s while he was there prior to and during the events of The Last Jedi. The vision of a possible dark future for herself in conjunction fact that she nearly killed Kylo scared Rey in the same way that considering killing Ben in his sleep scared Luke many years prior. She feared the path she was headed down and decides to swear off the Jedi, exiling herself on Ahch-to. Rey scuttles the ship she used to get there just like Luke once did and she caps it all off by casting Anakin's reconstructed lightsaber toward her ship. Just when it looks like the Jedi Order is going to end (again), the specter of Luke Skywalker appears to Rey, holding her discarded lightsaber and does what all good Force ghosts do; gives our hero the resolve to do what needs to be done. Finish the work Luke began over 30 years earlier and put an end to the Emperor for good. According to my source, Luke passes on Leia’s lightsaber to Rey. (Note: I don't know where it came from, where it's been all this time, or how Luke is able to give it to Rey, but what I can tell you (with only about 50% confidence at this point) is that Leia's blade is supposedly blue.) Bolstered by her conversation with Luke, Rey takes Leia's lightsaber, transmits the location of the Sith fleet to the Resistance before heading out herself.
  • On the subject of Force ghosts, Luke makes another appearance around the time of Rey and Kylo’s crises of faith. Back at the main Resistance base, Leia is on her deathbed. My source describes it to me like Yoda’s death in Return if the Jedi, nothing bad happened, it was just her time to go. Luke has come to says goodbye, but before it all ends for Leia, he has one final lesson for her...
  • From what I've been able to put together, the final act of the film is structured like this:
  • Rey leaves Ahch-to and travels to the Sith fleet in the Unknown Regions. Eventually the Resistance fleet arrives and battle ensues. Somehow, Rey finds her way to The Emperor who has been waiting for her. Palpatine confirms that what Kylo told her was true. Apparently after his defeat at DSII, Palpatine was shaken by the fact that he wasn't able to maintain his hold on Vader or seduce Luke to the darkness due to their familial bond. During the course of their conversation Palpatine makes reference to this bond between Vader and Luke and likens it to his bond with Rey hoping that whatever familial connection they have will be enough to win her over and become as strong as that of the Skywalkers. Note: What my source described next feels very reminiscent of RotJ. Rey is trapped in The Emperor’s throne room, watching two opposing fleets battle while she is helplessly gazes onward. It’s at this point that Kylo/Ben reappears. How we get to this next part is still a bit fuzzy to me, but apparently Ben and Rey join forces and begin attacking Palpatine. Leia's lightsaber comes back into play when Rey and Kylo share the Skywalker lightsabers throughout their fight. At some point the Emperor overpowers them both and supposedly kills Ben. (Note: there have been reports from other reputable leakers that Kylo kind of/sort of dies, but my source on this seemed pretty unambiguous. Personally, I think we'll just have to wait and see what we learn over the next few months.) When it looks like all Hope is lost, the ghosts of Luke and Leia show up to aid Rey. Together they overpower the Emperor and end his darkness once and for all.
  • As for what the other members of the Resistance are doing at this point, they are engaged in a space battle against Palpatine's fleet lead by General Pryde. The Resistance's goal is supposedly to take out the flagship, severing communications and making navigation out of the Unknown Regions impossible. The flagship is destroyed around the same time that the Emperor dies.
  • The last thing I was told is regarding the final sequence of the film. I don’t why, but our heroes travel to Tatooine. During these scenes, it is supposedly revealed that Rey has cannibalized Anakin/Luke's lightsaber and Leia's to make one of her own that supposedly has a yellow/gold blade. She buries the leftover pieces on the grounds of the former Lars homestead. The final shots of the Skywalker saga allegedly echo how the adventure began in ‘77, our heroes gazing at the horizon dreaming of the future as twin suns set in the distance.

All these spoilers yall posting are :mjtf:

When the fans struggle to come up with some good spoiler theories, that's how you know this shyt gon be garbage bags on fire...

And I could careless who Rey related to, they need to logically explain how she so overpowered with no training, her family lineage alone cannot be the answer...

Every Jedi and Sith was an apprentice and trained...shyt even Palpatine needed to be trained by Plagueis...We're two movies in with this trilogy and Rey still has no force or saber training yet we're supposed to believe she can hold her own with Anakin Skywalkers grandson, who was trained by Luke and Snoke...That's retarded and utter nonsense...They better LOGICALLY address that shyt because that will be the final nail in the coffin of this trilogy...

How the hell are all those spoilers gonna fit in a 140(?) minute movie or whatever. There's no way in hell they are giving this movie Endgame run time :heh:
I haven't rewatched TLJ but I could have sworn that trash was about as long as Endgame...

But yeah when I read those spoilers a few days ago. How did Disney fukk this all up so badly :wow:

Rian's probably a really good asskisser :pachaha:

2 decades to see Luke's return. 3 decades to see the og trio together again.

And it was all horribly squandered. :wow:

I'm still blown away at Rian having the balls to faking out 2 Jedi battles and leaving this the only main line Star Wars film to not have a Jedi battle. If that wasn't good enough, Johnson kills off Luke before ever giving us one more OG jedi battle. Wtf..

Like who the fukk was this movie made for!? It wasn't Star Wars fans.

The lack of optimism in this thread is astounding. It really drives home just how bad the last movie was and how little potential it leaves it’s sequel with :snoop:

The Last Jedi made TFA trash, because it devalued everything that movie had set up. TFA was already hanging on by a thread, and The Last Jedi set it on fire.
It blows my mind. The only other example of a story doing this and doing it this bad to a treasured property like this is halo 5, which also ended on a shyt tier cliffhanger while not establishing any new characters or setting up any sort of interesting premise for part 3 if any premise at all.

Yep :laff:

god this st is a clusterfukk
Honestly, again like halo 5, the only way to salvage things going forward would be to completely retcon the last Jedi. You have to try to go out of your way to fukk up as badly as Johnson and Kennedy did with that one. Every single rule of fiction writing and moviemaking even down to the technical stuff that has nothing to do with the story like editing or fight choreography was bad in that movie. Even suicide squad didn’t leave so bad a taste in my mouth, which is astounding when you think about the fact that suicide squad is basically a step by step guide on how not to make a movie in literally every single aspect of filmmaking :hhh:. It made the writing in the phantom menace seem like the writing of the dark knight or the winter soldier by comparison.

Im tired and dont feel like typing a long response. but here goes one anyway

But I hate TLJ because its an abortion of a movie. There was no real plan and all the ideas you see present are a director who wanted to be cute and horrible executive decree.

Individually all the bad ideas in TLJ arent enough to make a bad movie, but holy shyt all of them IN THE SAME MOVIE? Bruh :hhh: lemme rattle off real quick some of my major issues:

-Rose was annoying AF but i wouldve tolerated her had she had a smoother introduction/character arc. Clear as day she was conceived by the execs with "non traditional kickass female character/love interest" in mind and theres nothing else to her character. I feel sorry for Kelly Marie Tran because Star Wars fans are hateful fukks, but that script gave her nothing to redeem herself with.

-LOL at "lets subvert expectations but tell a story with no real drama!" Like WTF is even the story line with the next movie? the resistance, now The Rebellion (TM) makes their last stand against the First Order? :why:nikka hasn't that been the story for five fukking movies in a row (going by in universe chronology)? ESB left us with Luke shook AF after his battle with Vader, the reveal that Vader is his pops, Han frozen in Carbonite, The Rebellion in taters...this movie has no real drama with the leads and at this point its pretty clear Kylo Ren is going down for good. Why should I watch episode 9?

-Bait and switch with Finn. The ending to TFA was low-key bullshyt as is. But to essential demote the guy who was the heart and soul of TFA to idiot sidekick was unforgivable. Once again, the execs are so up their own ass about Female Empowerment that they had no problem fukking over a Black MALE Character. Oh and "lets pair him with the fat bytch to really show that "non traditionally attractive women can be wanted/keep him away from our STRONG WHITE FEMALE PROTAGONIST WHO DOESNT NEED A MAN"

-The constant subverting to hammer home the point that "THE PAST IS DEAD THIS IS NEW STAR WARS U NERD fukk BOIS"

-Cando Blight. Self explanatory...

-The lack of universe building or scale. nikkas really spent a whole fukking movie with ships in some bullshyt ass Stat Trek/Space Navy style standoff

-Admiral Holdo's retarded ass plan just to hammer home the point of competent female leadership

-Rey is boring as fukk. I cannot stress how much Executive Decree hurt this movie. I give Disney props for wanting to undo the damage they wrought as the creators of "the Princess/fairy tale romance" stories and how it basically ruined countless generations of kids :pachaha:. I GET IT. But goddamn they have butchered pretty much every female character in their new star wars saga because they all are concepts first, characters second. Rey is conceptually a "strong female lead who isnt defined by her relationships with men (another reason why they didnt make her family to anyone famous), is extremely talented in the force and outside of it" ..which is great but theres little to no traits that make her relatable as a character. I really dont know her motivations other than "who were my parents?". I mean shyt if youre gonna make this bytch the centerpiece of your new Star Wars empire, make me care about her and her journey.

I got more, i could think off but im heading to bed. Overall Disney fukked themselves by thinking they could wing. The prequels may have bene over-dramatic trash too reliant on CGI but goddamn at least I felt like they were going somewhere. i felt a sense of a living breathing universe with a central concept/story in mind. The Last jedi thought it cute to drop the easy layup from TFA and it heavily suffers because of the lack of direction/story cohesion.

Disney didnt realize that as flawed as Lucas was, his guiding hand and attitude of letting people create with no agenda was what made Star Wars enjoyable in the first place.

Unless she turns out to be someones clone with imprinted knowledge....

Their not going to.. because like someone already said.. Rey is just white feminist agenda :yeshrug:
I refer you to Marc Spector explaining the problems with many of the characters. Say what you will about Mr. Plinkett being a schizophrenic psychopath who kills hookers, but the man understands characters and how they make or break a movie :ld:. It’s not all the problems in the movie, but many of them.
