Nah. They know they have to go past this trilogy. They’ve seen how Potter and Trek struggled by staying in the past.


So they can’t definitely end the First Order threat but can’t let Rey go out without a win. Saving Kylo and ending Palpatine but the First Order being severely weakened is the only way they can end this.

They don't even have enough manpower to defeat First Order. The entire rebellion fit inside the Falcon.

Breh I grew up a star wars fan. Didn't want to see force awakens so I watched it on Direct tv stream. Movie was trash and they had the brotha out there on some amos and andy shyt. I was pissed I even paid 5 dollars to watch it on directv.

The next movie I didn't even bootleg cause I knew it was trash and never saw it.

I will refuse to watch this last one. I won't even watch a bootleg for free. Star wars will never get my money again. I won't even give the brotha up the streat 5 dollars for a bootleg copy.

The leak I read said Rey get's a super special Jedi power due to a crack in the force that basically gives her time travel powers, and she turns back time so it ends with Han, Luke etc being alive again.

Probably bullshyt. But this is some Disney ass shyt so it wouldn't surprise me

A body without a head is better than doing nothing. Building a new Republic and First Order scrambles for new leadership is something to build a story around since we never saw how the First Order actually formed.

I think reason why they wanted to do musical chairs director is because of money and cheaper. JJ is an expensive hire and getting him to write a trilogy was probably not in Kennedy "Money over Fist" prerogative.

What I don't understand is why Kennedy let them write individual movies of a trilogy. Especially, a no name director like Johnson.

The sad thing about Johnson is that he wrote a story meant for executives/producers that have zero idea about universe. They ate it up look a fool to a con man. You'd think Disney would have someone with passion about the franchise to be in charge of it.

It's probably why minds like Feige And Lucas are rare in Hollywood . They aren't manufactured or work politics to get them in high powered positions. Feige was put in place long before Disney acquired Marvel. He was the Marvel supernerd. Lucas was entirely self made. Disney was only gonna hire a stooge that has no passion for the franchise.

It's deeply disappointing.

I say it all the time in corporate america and you see it in sports. An organization is only as good as its head. If the head running the company is an idiot. Then the product will be fukked up......Kennedy is exhibit A.

He always had a struggle between dark and light, just like anakin. Luke sensed that in him and for a split second thought that maybe he should kill kylo, and kylo sensed that intent from his uncle and chose the dark side.

Kylo then destroyed Luke's jedi academy while Luke ran and hid like a coward and gave up on the jedi.

That's how its explained in TLJ but that goes against everything we know about Luke, and just makes that whole reveal stupid as fukk.


Honestly the only way I can see them ending this trilogy on a somewhat high note is to have this last movie focus on kylo rediscovering his faith in the light, while Rey turns dark after seeing how Luke gave up on the jedi.

Kylo is has already been shown to be no match for Rey, and everyone hates Rey as a character so they might as well play off that for this final movie.

The fact that this thread only has 50 plus pages illustrates that lack of interest people have. That last movie was a disaster. It was really one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

There are so many SW stories out there from books, comics, etc and thats what they came up with.

that's the ultimate problem. JJ made a safe, almost reboot, but it was a good movie. Johnson came in and basically just said "fukk that movie" at every turn, while also making a meh to decent movie. people - myself included - shouldn't be allowed to rate Star Wars movies until months later, b/c you're always gonna come out with a bit of a high. shyt, i think i even said Solo was solid, but fukkkkkk that stupid fukkin movie. I'll never even consider watching that pointless piece of shyt again.

I went to go see TFA first week. Then I skipped Rogue One (that's been the best star wars movie so far), skipped TLJ and didn't even pay attention to the Solo trailers.


I honestly don't like the character Rey. I don't give a fukk about her or her story.
