I’m mean this is shyt but knowing years in advance about betrayal is literally the Sith code. So it’s not unrealistic but they also are saying much of anything by using this as back filler.
Nah, the Sith betray each other to usurp power, so that both Sith stay on point and don't get flabby with complacency, and so that they keep getting stronger and stronger with each generation. These guys are saying Palpatine saw "the light flickering" in Vader years before he turned to the light, which is retarded, since Vader was murdering motherfukkers in cold blood and even wanted Luke to turn to the Dark Side so they could rule as father and son. It was only in the final moments of ROTJ that he turned to the light. This new canon is straight up retarded and indefensible.

Actually, the Sith rule of 2 futher explains that the Sith is supposed to try to replace his master. If you're not trying to gain power, or an advantage, you're not worthy of being a Sith lord. So Palpatine did always know that Vader would betray him, which is why he also tried to replace Vader with Luke.

wait...so that half second scene we see in the movie when Rey's parents give her up...that chump guy was a Palp clone?

Palp was willing to kill himself...for himself?

This... raises questions. Mostly ones like:

- How is Rey force-sensitive, much less as powerful as she is when her pops is a failed genetic clone with no force sensitivity?
- How did nobody recognize said clone looked so much like the emperor who terrorized the galaxy for the previous two decades and had many mass genocides committed in his name?

These Disney nikkas are saying Palps saw Vader turning to the light years in advance and had a contingency for his bytchass

I started watching this and I'm about 30 minutes in. It's kinda a chore to watch but I intend to get through it. My main beef with this is that this movie isn't really the third part of a trilogy so far. It's just another movie staring the characters that were in the last movie. It's almost self contained in a sense that outside of knowing who everyone is you wouldn't have needed to watch the other movies to follow this one. It's jarring how disconnected this is from the other two movies.
