I can't believe that people are now excusing TLJ just because they hate JJ now. You can hate all three of these movies if you want, there's no reason to make it a JJ vs Rian when they both did some awful stuff.

This all comes back to Kathleen Kennedy not having a plan for the trilogy other than injecting her political agenda into the SW franchise...I can't believe that people are now excusing TLJ just because they hate JJ now. You can hate all three of these movies if you want, there's no reason to make it a JJ vs Rian when they both did some awful stuff.
JJ tried to play it safe, remake ANH with new characters Disney wanted and the old guard sprinkled in for fan service...I personally did not like the play it safe and remake ANH approach but I thought he setup the new cast well...Finn a stormtrooper defector who may be force sensitive, Poe, Snoke, Ren, the Knights of Ren and Rey's lineage questions...
Fans went into TLJ expecting those characters to be more fleshed out...RJ took those characters along with the old guard and tossed them into the galactic bushes because he felt he was being daring and cunning by subverting fan expectations...He turned Finn into token black comedic relief character, Poe into Leia's personal bytch, killed Snoke, turned Ren into stereotypical rom-com male character, knights of ren never mentioned and turned Rey into Mary Sue...What SW really needed according to RJ was an Asian female Jar Jar, the Holdo maneuver and turning Luke Skywalker into a worthless alien titty juice drinking bum...
TROS was basically JJ trying to fix everything RJ ruined and unfortunately for him way too much damage was done for one film to fix and continue the story...
Finn was embarrassing on all fronts. Literally, what was he trying to do?

Thats exactly how i feel. Before ROS i said that and my friend who thinks hes tge be all end all of stars knowledge started going in on me about how awful it is and how he wishes death on rian johnson. Im like “
fam, its a kids movie, I understand it didnt go the way you wanted it too..sorry you feel he ruined your childhood
”then after ROS he was blaming johnson for not liking ROS lol.

Most of the hatred for this movie doesn't even have anything to do with SW, its simple logical shyt that just leaves you baffled...
TLJ logically should been over in the first 15 minutes when Hux was presented with a simple question...
End the rebellion by shooting the ship DIRECTLY in front of you which all the rebels are trying to flee to or the empty rebel base on the planet?
Guess what he did...
And for those that have seen TROS...
The reason Hux was turned into a rebel spy was to undo that RJ idiocy
