Saw it last night, kinda hard for me to judge it since I read the reddit leaks and they were spot on for the most part, and the film visually didn't really add any more to that aside from a few things and felt really rushed. The palpatine stuff really felt like forced fan fiction and kinda didn't answer why Rey was so skilled but considering how awful The Last Jedi was (and it really didn't progress the story at all), I guess JJ hand was forced. :ld:

One big thing for me is the light-saber battles sucked and didn't have the emotional weight of the original trilogy or the choreography of the prequels, not to mention integrating them with their force bond was just weird to me.

Overall it just seemed meh and the climax doesn't have any proper buildup :russell:Especially since two of the first films in the trilogy provided small hints (TFA) and just didn't progress anything at all (TLJ).

Thought at least some of new side characters were cool and didn't feel out of place.

And Lando being a space pimp, trying to get Jannah to turn tricks at the end of the movie :snoop:

Landon's whole part of this movie was fukking dumb. Not including the final moments, he had four scenes. And in every one, his entrance was like "SURPRISE, LANDO'S HERE Y'ALL!"
:mjlol:
Never seen shyt like that in my life
