:dwillhuh:

The Farce Awakens was a frame to frame copy of ANH, zero new creative flourishes

TLJ was nothing BUT filler since the Canto Bight storyline led nowhere, the space chase with the Star Destroyer led nowhere, and Luke’s involvement in the story went nowhere (which, by extension, means that nothing that happened in TFA mattered, since finding the map to Luke was pointless)

Don’t even get me started on “Sith daggers” and “wayfinders” and “Sith loyalists” from the new film. My nikka, Sith loyalists?!?!?! :what:

Palpatine’s whole steelo is secrecy and pulling strings from the shadows. You telling me the whole time he was manipulating covert events he had an arena full of Sith loyalists sitting the bleachers watching his every move? :why:

You telling me Force ghosts can interact with physical objects now (when Luke catches his lightsaber)? :what:

Why couldn’t ghost Luke just go fight Palpatine himself then?

The prequels were never this bad, even at their lowest points.
You never addressed the actual filmmaking of the prequels

It was fine for 1999. I’m not gonna hold a 20 year old film to Avengers: Endgame standards. How else were they gonna show massive new worlds like Coruscant and Geonosis and a clone army and a droid army without tons of CGI?
You're using Avengers Endgame as an example of good filmmaking case closed :mjlol:

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Glorifies Abuse and Assault Against Women

:mjlol:

Men get emasculated in this trilogy

Kylo is essentially Rey's bytch..got a clean sweep in the play-offs

Poe is one of many examples :russ:

I mean even if she wants to see it that way. The entire saga has been one person trying to save another. I guess the OG trilogy is child endangerment now.

I was talking about the CGI, to which I assume you were referring when you meant “filmmaking” in the prequels
I'm speaking on the visual effects, editing, writing, acting, cinematography, etc. I believe the sequel trilogy trump the prequel trilogy in the pure filmmaking aspect in IMO.
Even those who hate The Last Jedi admit the cinematography is top notch

Prequels had way more iconic cinematography than the sequel trilogy, we can compare and it's no contest. Also, there is no such thing as "pure filmmaking".

Like 80% of sequel trilogy is copying shyt George Lucas did in '77.

I will say that Last Jedi is, visually, top notch...if we discount the Fathiers completely.

Still thinking about it but on first blush, I’m not a fan of episode 9 rise of the fan fiction.

it’s a fun movie no doubt and there’s stuff I like but overall it just doesn’t work from a story standpoint and feels lazy as fukk
That was my exact thought during the movie. It felt like cursed child
