Kid was like :merchant:/:whoa:

Revenge Of The Sith was dark as fukk :dead: if they kept this type of energy with the previous 2 prequel films and improved the writing it might've been :whew:
Star wars would 100% benefit from a darker tone. Rogue one was pretty dark and it's the only good star wars movie disney has made.

Here's a list of Force voices that Rey heard:
  • Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn
  • Alec Guinness & Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker
  • Frank Oz as Yoda
  • Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu
  • Freddie Prinze Jr as Kanan Jarrus (from Star Wars: Rebels)
  • Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano (from Star Wars: The Clone Wars/Rebels)
  • Angelique Perrin as Adi Gallia (from The Phantom Menace, The Clone Wars and, er, Jedi Power Battles on PSone)
  • Jennifer Hale as Aayla Secura (from Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: The Clone Wars)
  • Olivia D'Abo as Luminara Unduli (from Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars)

I'm speaking on the visual effects, editing, writing, acting, cinematography, etc. I believe the sequel trilogy trump the prequel trilogy in the pure filmmaking aspect in IMO.
Even those who hate The Last Jedi admit the cinematography is top notch
In my honest opinion, the story and plot is significantly more important than the cinematography when it comes to star wars. Give me avengers endgame filmmaking with a significantly improved plot over the great cinematography, shyt show we've received over the last few years.

That applies to every movie...

The only movies where story and plot don't matter much is action movies, hence why Michael Bay has a career...

I finished TLJ about an hour ago. Borderline classic of a movie IMO. I think you gotta be a traditionalist stool to sit there and bytch and moan about the way he took Luke. nikkas want 1980 Luke but a modern trilogy that deviates from cookie cutter bullshyt. They'll bury Marvel for not subverting (I dont like using the phrase) a single expectation, and call it "Disney-fying" but this nikka Rian subverts ALL the right expectations.

TLJ may not be the greatest SW but I think if they gave him the closer, RoS would be the best BY FAR.

the worst WORST part is that I watched Rise before TLJ...and I spoiled basically nothing from TLJ other than...well the obvious death. JJ might have Kennedy's hand up his ass but he didnt have to get a hate boner for Rian's movie either

Landon's whole part of this movie was fukking dumb. Not including the final moments, he had four scenes. And in every one, his entrance was like "SURPRISE, LANDO'S HERE Y'ALL!"
:mjlol:
Never seen shyt like that in my life
I just read it as them giving bro his flowers while they could. He looked healthy and like he had another 10 in him at least, but after Carrie, I get it :yeshrug:
"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
this quote right here summarizes why people dikkeat JJ's direction. TLJ's dialogue shyts on any JJ movie

Yup. You could remove him and replace him with “Random rebel guy” and nothing changes.

JJ Abrams is the most overrated, xeroxed-style-over-faux-substance director alive. There are no original ideas in his work, and this is the most clear example of that flaw. It was fine for TFA, where you're introducing new characters, mixing them with old ones, all while trying to attract a new generation of fans. But here? It just sucks.
Johnson left him with nearly endless possibilities. And JJ went backwards, in every fashion. It's unchallenging, fan-service-over-all, tripe.

And The Last Jedi is far and away the best film of this trilogy. Sure it's a little messy, but it's the only one with anything to say beyond "hey, remember Star Wars?" I'm amazed that Disney let Johnson do what he did in their sandbox. And disappointed that they let JJ undo everything interesting in favor of...this.

Oh well.
