Lots of great lil details. Obi Wan going to Kamino and being told Master Sifo Dyas ordered the clone army to be made, when Sifo has been dead for years, Dooku orchestrating the separatist movement, Anakin avenging his moms, etc...

Also the introduction of the farm where Luke was born, Anakin/Vader meeting Luke's future parents, Dooku being Qui Gon's master (which explained why Qui Gon often defied the council which bled into him making Anakin a jedi to begin with), just a lot of interesting minor details.

You also have to wonder if Dooku was really planning to actually overthrow Palpatine because he leaked more information to Obi-Wan then he had to.

They should have left this alone, or made movies that took place in the past. The stories that took place in during the Old Republic are just SCREAMING to be made into movies. George fukked up by selling this shyt to Disney . They should just hand the keys over to Jon Favreau and let him resurrect the franchise.

He went from being the star of the first one to being a joke of a character and little screen time. They were setting him up for something good then look what they did to him.

Like I said earlier in the thread, breh has to be at how they played him. Had him front and center in all the promotional posters for TFA, had him looking like billy badass with the lightsaber and blasters, standing back to back with Rey on some me against the world shyt...

... then turned him into new gen Jar Jar Binks.

Lets keep it real....He was the "star" of TFA, but his character was a disappointment.

Boyega is upset cause no one cared about Finn anymore and Last Jedi made no attempts for us to care.

Yall remember the outrage about Finn/Boyega BEFORE TFA?? shyt was quiet as hell after the movie. The hate shifted towards to Rey and other stuff, but they had no anger for something they didn't care about.

Well the good news is that the writers from the old republic are still around so of disney gives the green light they can still build that back up.

As far as this current stuff, I think it'll take more than one movie to fix this shyt I think they'll learn from their mistakes. Disney is well aware of people's opinions of how they handled star wars.

I enjoy the prequels as an adult. Nothing but politics and flashy lightsaber duels. Sidus became a dictator and everyone clapped then he killed all the Jedi in 5 mins. Star Wars was like a Shakespeares play in space.

Dooku initially did want to overthrow Palpatine out of vengeance for Qui Gon's death. He had already left the Jedi. He was done with them and the Republic over the bullshyt they pulled with his home world. He knew a Sith was responsible for his former padawan's death. I forget the details, but Sidious reached out to him, and he was down to go to the dark side, because Sidious wanted to destroy the Republic. Then he found out Sidious was the one responsible for Qui Gon's death, and was plotting to take him out. But his hatred of the Jedi and Republic was stronger. So he went along with everything his new master had planned out.

I guarantee that the majority of the people who LOVE The Last Jedi, are only fair weather Star Wars fans. They're not people who invest their time and money in reading the books, comics or play the games. The Last Jedi is an okay movie. If Star Wars was a new franchise, it would be passable. For a franchise with decades of history though, it is a horrible Star Wars movie.

Saw a post about how people over the years have warmed up to the prequels because of the Disney trilogy...but they also said that people might also change their opinion on this Star Wars trilogy and the spin-offs etc, The Han Solo film..in a few year also
