Where were these folk when Ahmed Best was talking about backlash he received for his role as Jar Jar Binks and how he contemplated suicide? :mjpls:

Its weird to say it but TLJ has somehow become a rallying point for a certain segment of liberals

They even attack actors who were IN the movie for disliking it lol

Some of the other Star Wars fans are psychos though, I remember reading that the dude who played Anakin got by bullied fans and classmates at school because of the Phantom Menace, so he quit acting and fukked up his life as the norm with most child actors not their fault though.. :francis:

Saw a post about how people over the years have warmed up to the prequels because of the Disney trilogy...but they also said that people might also change their opinion on this Star Wars trilogy and the spin-offs etc, The Han Solo film..in a few year also:patrice:

I can see people warming up to the prequels and even Solo. The Force Awakens is an okay movie. I know that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and had me excited for what was coming next. I wasn't even upset about Han Solo dying. The Last Jedi shyt all over that. Not only did it shyt all over it, the movie made bizarre choices to tell the story. It made absolutely no sense for Holdo to withhold her plans from the crew. That whole space chase made no sort of sense. Just send out Tie Fighters. It was contrived just so Finn and Rose could go off to the casino planet. As far as that movie goes, I think as people watch it over and over, they are going to see that structurally it is not a good movie.

This movie comes out in a week, and there's no hype, no fan fare, no nothing.

I think I'm one of the few people who like the sequel movies so far, so I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.

Watched Phantom Menace and it wasn't as bad as when I first watched it..Jar Jar Binks was still insufferable :hhh: If they cut him down to minimal and used that time for Obi Wan and Darth Maul it MIGHT have been up there with the OG trilogy cause the pod racing scene is when the film picks up

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Lucas knew he fukked up right away lmao

I know that the RLM played that for comedic purposes, however if you watch the Making of TPM documentary, that screening is so damn awkward. The looks on the Lucasfilm employee's faces and the silence says it all. I actually think that was very brave of them of to put that on the documentary and it'll probably be as close as we get to an official "Yeah. We know we fukked up." from anyone associated with George.

Rick McCallum's face makes the whole thing priceless.

The hype is non existent because there's no conclusion to look forward to. Kylo Ren is not a formidable or respected villain and Rey isn't someone anyone cares to really root for. George Lucas I hope is kicking himself for giving up his baby.

He got 4 billion and sold it to shyt on the fans who shytted on him for the prequels

It would take a 4th or even 5th movie to fix this shyt and make us actually care about these characters but its not worth it. Just get it over with and start from scratch
