That's kinda what I think people are stocking up to do...Boyega tried to dead the shyt and people immediately started accusing him of being homophobic.

Now that they've made it "a possibility", they can construe anything outside of Finn/Poe as "Disney got cold feet" or "The fans were for it? Why weren't they?" even if that was never apart of the plan.

Most people, being objective, know that Finn and Poe weren't meant to be a "thing" in this movie. But people kept making noise (Under the guise of being humorous or sarcastic or progressive) and now a bunch of people are expecting our first black hero to be a flamer....:snoop:

Our only hope at this point is that Episode 8 closes the book on Finn's sexuality. They are filming, and while there were rumored rewrites, I don't think they were going to be changing a characters sexuality so late in the game. Hopefully he gets with Rey or another female....

If Isaac is clamoring for Poe to be gay, he can fight for that on his own. But it's a shame that he's dragged Boyega/Finn into this mess. And I've noticed that he hasn't said a PEEP since the movie came out. Like...he's been nowhere to be found, while Boyega has been the one sent out to talk about this nonsense. Typical.

I didn't say Gay Men are inherently weak, I said that's the case in Hollywood/The Entertainment Industry and their portrayals of Gay Men. Read up.

They don't need to be "fukking on screen", it's more about how the character acts along with the character traits, hence why Gay characters dress and act overly flamboyant, talk more lightly, are more emotional and physically weak. All done so that the audience know they are specifically gay in the first place.

How do you think they'll emphasise that the character is Gay in the first place. They didn't have Finn and Rey (Male and Female lead) get to together or even kiss because of the stigma of an on screen Black/White romance, so there's no damn way they'll have two men (white for that matter) do anything :mjlol:. A Black Man and another non-white man on the other hand probably, wait hold-up :ohhh:

but finn wasnt flamboyant or limp wristed in the first movie. theres no reason to think that will change

That's why I said he's halfway there in a previous post. It can go either way from here. He wasn't Gay in the film, but he, the male lead wasn't put together with the female lead romantically and the relationship was made platonic so he ended with no love interest (snipped and made Neutral). So because a romance with the main female lead is ruled out, certain people :mjpls: looked at the next character who he interacted and had a relationship with that's still around and turned it into something that's more than it actually is. That's why this whole Poe and Finn romance nonsense started doing the rounds which is now intentionally being regurgitated by certain and prominent media outlets along with becoming a movement. They're trying to position these two characters as Star Wars first Gay characters and couple.

If I had to guess like they do with most Black characters in White casts, they'll probably just keep him asexual (non-threatening), he'll be paired with Poe as action buddies and those who think there's more to relationship will keep pushing for it :yeshrug:

After going around the Internet even though I don't think he will ultimately be gay, they really may be setting us up for the okie doke. A lot of people really think and want him to be a batty.
