the best part of this video is the whole establish a mole story line and that's the reason they kept the plan from poe

have snoke show up at the bad touch scene messing with luke mind a bit - making luke think snoke was there and kind of setting a precedent of luke force projection

Yo if the humor in the Solo movie is ANYTHING like the shyt from TLJ that shyts gonna bomb horribly.

Between the lead actor needing acting lessons, 2 fired directors, 80% of the movie being re-shot, and the fallout of TLJ this movie never stood a chance.

Add the fact the NOBODY was asking for a Han Solo movie even when they announced it. The reception to the announcement was pretty lukewarm to begin with so how do you build up hype after everything that's come out about this movie has been bad news.

Whens the next star wars celebration? *googles it*.....

2019?!:mjlol: These motherfukers won't have to look there fans in the eye and explain themselves for another 2 years. They need to start having these conventions right after a movie releases :stopitslime:

But moving forward there has to be some sort of course correct going on at Disney. The future of Star Wars is not a bright one as things sit now.

Say what you want about phantom menace but my god it introduced so many likeable main and minor characters. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Palpatine, Capt Panaka, Padme, Windu, Darth Maul. Literally Old Republic levels of world building going on and the galaxy actually felt populated and not some empty void. Brand new enemies and villians besides white dudes in suites on star destroyers. Like who would have thought Geonosians were the architects of the Death Star but seeing that their home planet is like a giant hive it makes sense. It's just really refreshing seeing a star wars galaxy that isn't always oppressed by big brother. But that's the future of Star Wars. The First Order and the New Rebellion. Back where we started. How unfortunate.

Speaking of characters, no matter how minor, there has only been one unanimously hated character in Jar Jar. EVERY other character has had a moment to shine and has fans...even in R1. 40 years of movies and 1 wack character, counting Clone Wars & Rebels. Okay, perhaps you can exclude the Battle of Endor people, but everyone likes Wicket and few remember it. Matter of fact, where is Wicket? Warrick Davis is still alive. NONE of these characters are great. Finn had the most potential, but he has no arc anymore. Next would be Kylo but no one is really interested in what he has going anymore. Poe was wasted over 2 films.

Kids love Jar Jar, apparently the Jar Jar Clone Wars episodes were the most rewatched by kids during the CW run.

I liked the Gungan/Naboo plot and Jar Jar when subdued was ok, he just took up way too much screentime and went over the top.

Jar Jar had a bigger comeup in one movie than Finn did in two :lolbron:

Disney got fukking greedy and cocky with that shyt. They had all those stories that were pretty uknown to the mainstream laid out to just print money while the OGs were still alive. Give the world a new trilogy finishing up the OGs story with it also being a prequel to rey finn and ben growing up leading to the events of TFA then u can be all creative with the new characters that people dont hold sacred.

They called that shyt legends and still reprinting because they wanted to dip their hands in all of it but how u tell all those fans all that media they invested in is shyt

The lack of scale in the film really offended me. How is the climactic battle between The First Order and Resistance a 12 hour space chase between a handful of ships?

In Empire Strikes Back, the opening on Hoth as the walkers descended on the rebels truly felt like we were truly seeing the fist of the Empire descending on its victims. Here the walkers on that salt planet felt so anemic in comparison. From Hoth, Empire took us to a whole new planet where we see social ramifications of the Empires rule where Cloud City is subjugated and Lando betrays his friends. Meanwhile Canto Bight in Last Jedi further shrunk the apparent scale of this conflict by depicting parties circumventing either side of it and living carefree for it. Why should I care about a kid getting a Resistance ring when there wasnt a single damn stormtrooper in the city? Is the kid going to resist the perfectly lawful police?

In TFA the First Order was at least a direct Galactic Empire rip off -- cartoonishly blowing up planets and shooting up bazaars. Here they dont doooooo anything. Everything feels so inconsequential and small.

They could have at least had a snoke vs Skywalker lightsaber/ force duel.

That Yoda/Dooku Yoda/palpitine light saber/force battles were amazing

Juan Roberto's bald spot
Im gonna be a contrarian here. I think TLJ just goes to show JJ's talent. That he managed to shoehorn these random characters as the protagonists in Star Wars with no pushback is something in itself.
TLJ felt like a 2.5 hr reboot of the original. After reading about this Finn PAAG romance, was surprised that it wasn't the case. Yes the Asian lady can't act for shyt, but there was no chemistry or any semblance of romantic overtures between the two characters.
Rey too can't act but there was more there in her inquiries about Finn's status than that whole Finn PAAG shenanigans.
Good for Adam Driver hijacking Star Wars, this is his story now :salute:
People say subverting expectations was the theme, I think failure was the theme, sorta ties with Yoda's final lesson to Luke :ehh:
They gotta shorten this shyt, 2.5 hours in a theater :scust: we got other shyt to do :francis:
Disney's gotta good story in there somewhere. Ben Solo, hopelessly outnumbered rebels with Rey as the deus ex machina :ehh:

Even threw in Yoda there for nothing at all.

Even had a dead Yoda being able to summon lighting bolts

And an entire movie full of him running scared and getting his ass kicked.... dude couldn’t even sacrifice himself without getting called an idiot...
From an artivle i read and it's so true:

"Instead, she’s [Rose] constantly checking him and saving him. She’s also the one teaching him lessons about love and oppression.

Did you catch that last part? Everyone’s so caught up on how much they hate the CGI of the casino scene they missed the part where Finn is taught about slave labor. Nah. Who forgot Finn was stolen from his family?"

The DJ character is probably one of the worse characters I've seen in a star wars film and that includes Jar Jar
I mean you can't expect the audience let alone the characters to care that he's betraying them when I see next to nothing of the character meaning anything to Finn,Rose, or even the audience. He just pops up starts stuttering and does stuff
