Bro, she's got blown out of a fukking spaceship into the VACUUM OF SPACE and unconsciously flew herself BACK to the spaceship...and SURVIVED! That's probably the most powerful force usage in the entire series. That shyt NEEDS to be explained. If PRINCESS LEIA could that what could Yoda do in his prime?!
leia getting sucked into space and surviving was funny, that and the girl at the end basically being crowned a new/last jedi made me think of the feminist movement
BTW this gives me some hope for the Rian Johnson trilogy but I fukking hope they leave Skywalker behind, and for that matter, empire/first order vs resistance.

The film was definitely trying to be subliminally political. What with All the women characters, the anti-animal cruelty message shoehorned in the COMPLETELY useless Finn arc and the racial and fat diversity.

If there's a time jump before the next episode, I think I have an idea where they might be going.
-Kylo Ren creates a new Empire worse/more oppressive than the old one.
-The Resistance is almost finished as a military force, but they hear rumors about the "Broom Kid" and similar Force-sensitive random individuals througout the galaxy and Rey is able to telepathically inspire a mass uprising on multiple worlds through the Force.
Now that i slept on it yup this shyt might end up being a classic to the youngins comming up. Some off y’all poster need to let go of the past the old ways are over burn those scrolls you nerds it’s a new wave Ima see it again tonight just to make sure and btw you extra woke people gotta chill Finn got busy for his own right fukk y’all want? Don’t worry Black Panther soon come..
...If I can get past what "Star Wars" means to me, I admit this might be true. TLJ was sub-standard as a Star Wars movie, but as far as movies go it wasn't really bad. At least it's a lot better than TFA. (Part of me is still bitter about the positive fan reaction TFA got by some of the same people that trashed RotS).
I almost hate to defend this movie, but the lack of technological advancement seems to be normal for the Star Wars universe. The Old Republic was at least 4000 years old, but technology barely moved forward at all in all that time. Its an ultra-traditional society based on ancient rituals. E.g. Obi Wan thought a lightsaber was "an elegant weapon from a more civilized time", when using the same technology it should be possible to create far deadlier ranged weapons.
In fact, the only "scientists" I can think of in the movies were they guys working on the Death Star in Rogue One. And they were all murdered. The "good guys" don't believe in advancing technology, and the "Dark Side" only believes in separately siloed secret military scientists working on superweapons.
I'm just pointing it out. The movie valued being PC more than being good. You saying "I swear some people here want all-white male everything." is just strawmaning.
LOL! I just knew I'd see this shyt on here. Throughout the whole movie I was wondering how many white boys were thinking "No war room has this many brown people or women in it". I thought that perhaps because white men tend to say the same thing about seeing brown folks in their beloved fantasy movies, that perhaps black men would be more open to seeing women instead of parroting the same shyt they say about y'all when they see you in their movies. But no, same shyt, different flavor.
This is a fantasy movie. None of this shyt is realistic. It's funny how people like to pick and choose what should be realistic when it comes to race and gender but will argue all day about who should be force sensitive. gtfo.

This movie is full of white women yet you aren't saying anything...
Anyway, again, please find where I said this was an issue...
Stop being defensive and making strawman arguments over someone pointing something out, it's insecure as hell.
