His story line has been pretty weak for a while now on Rebels. Hard to see that happening.

Cant be mad at copying ESB but a new hope was so original for its time that the magic of that was hard to duplicate and really felt the backlash of playing it safe. I really find it dumb that an empire clone is still around 30 years later. I didnt read any of the graphic novels but did why didnt they dump all those extra vehicles and shyt into a black hole and lock up any storm troopers straggling around??? Its war u really gotta

It seems he's now become part Jedi & part comic relief. Hopefully the final 14 episodes have a stronger focus on his development.

Rogue One made TFA worse in hindsight... and basically ruined all future SW hype for me. I just can't get as excited as i used to.
TFA was a blast the first time I saw it. Yeah, it was a rehash, but I was able to put that aside b/c i just figured the plan was "we gotta ease these people in to the new movies. Give em some new shyt but keep the formula they know." Fine. Cool. This is standard "reboot, sequel" shyt in Hollywood. I really enjoyed it.
... then they fukkin made the most pointless movie of all time. "Well, this one's a dark gritty SW movie! it's a WAR!!!" and it was about a female lead climbling around inside of a death star.
I contend that if Rogue One wasn't made, and they did something completely different for once, the opinion on TFA wouldn't have slipped as much as it has, and a lot of people wouldn't be skeptical about TLJ/Episode 9
In conclusion, Rogue One was an absolutely pointless movie, and you will never sway this opinion.
