Rian Johnson is way better then JJ Abrams IMO so I think this one will actually take some risks. Trailer got me HYPE tho so I hope it delivers.

I'm still saying that kylo is gonna get Rey to go darkside or Snoke will and Kylo will become the hero. Think what a cliffhanger that would he up see Rey go darkside and Luke be mentally fukked all the way up after another one of his pupils falls to the darkside.

Watch Rey and Finn go the dark side. That would fukk everyone up.

Not liking Finn getting kicked down to supporting character status.

Finns story of redemption/crush on Rey was the heart and soul of TFA. He's the only character with personality, charm, and a relatable backstory. Nobody gives a shyt about Rey outside of "is she a skywalker or not?".

I've no problem with Rey becoming a Jedi/discovering her heritage being a central plot point (as is Star Wars tradition). I just hate the fact that a central Black lead is getting the short end of the stick to tell Reys story. For all the talk of the new trilogy breaking new ground, it wouldve been even groundbreaking to feature TWO major character arcs.

Its kinda the whole thing with power levels in general. Someone always has to be stronger. Even in the old canon, you have guys like Revan who were arguably stronger than Luke but never reached their full potential. It would make sense that Luke's bloodline has to be one of the strongest in the known Galaxy if we take Cade Skywalker for example, who can resurrect the dead and eventually posses mastery of both light and dark side....

Rey if all holds true, being the relative of Luke could be the next greatest Jedi.
