This one isn't has as the final trailer for force awakens so maybe that's a good sign. But after the disappointment of episode 7 I'm going in with a grain of salt on my eyes and ears.

Just saw the latest trailer. Is this going to be a sort of remake of episode 5 like 7 was essentially a episode 4 remake? You got Luke training Rey like Yoda was training Luke in Empire Strikes Back.

Star Wars takes risks. They ain't on the remake tip.

Rian Johnson is way better then JJ Abrams IMO so I think this one will actually take some risks. Trailer got me HYPE tho so I hope it delivers.

I'm still saying that kylo is gonna get Rey to go darkside or Snoke will and Kylo will become the hero. Think what a cliffhanger that would he up see Rey go darkside and Luke be mentally fukked all the way up after another one of his pupils falls to the darkside.

its not vader cause he said RAW power.... luke never saw anikin's raw ability ... it could be the emperor and LUKE got a flashback to when Palpatine was force lighting his butt ..

or it could be himself .. that raw power didn't scare himself because a person controls themselves but since he cant control Rey he's scared...

I think he said raw strength,where as a person like Vader or the Emperor would have more controlled or refined power. plus he said it didn't scare him a lot the last time he felt it,why wouldn't he be really scared the first time he went toe to toe with Vader or when he was fighting in front of palpatine?

I might be parsing words but he said Raw strength. That leaves the door pretty open to interpretation. It’s easy to say that the Palps and Vader were not “raw” strength.

Just went back and watched it again. I think he means Ben/Kylo.

The displays Luke saw from a strength stand point were Yoda and Vader. Both trained and clearly tuned into the force and how to use it. In the context of the trailer he’s teaching her and you see the ground split. I would equate that to the struggle he had lifting the X-Wing. For all his gifts Luke didnt have that type of raw strength. Leads me to think Ben/Kylo.

Interesting that if it’s him they basically made two characters that strong in ability relative to cannon.

I gotta theory which is 100% false, that Yoda, Mace Windu or one of the other dead Jedi's reincarnated themselves into Finn awakening him from a stormtrooper to a Jedi to help Rey save her brother Kylo and restore power to the Skywalker legacy because there's some really evil fukked up force behind this all and they need 3 Jedi's to restore some shyt.
