I agree about this. The Black/White relationship was Lucas. There's no way Disney would have a Black Male LEAD in something like this. People are already being salty on Youtube that Boyega gets to be the Lead in this. Now saying, "This character is black" probably wasn't in the screenplay. i think it will. at worst maybe there will be some kind of love triangle between the 3 leads, but i think there HAS to be some kind of romantic thing going on in some capacity and that it's going to be a prominent aspect of this new trilogy.
disney tryna reach everyone with this. boys, girls, black, white... an interracial couple madly in love thwarting off evil and wielding light sabers gives them at least half the aisles in toys r us.

True but Star Wars has never really been "Sexual", only sexually suggestive. I mean Jedi's are like monks anyway. I think they start out kinda platonic but it probably grows deeper as the trilogy goes on. (Assuming everyone survives this one). Now we will see how far the relationship goes. If there's a Kiss then I know it's going to go deeper. But to your point, I agree. They will most likely play it safe. I don't know why people are so scared of interracial love. It happens all over the world but Hollywood acts like it's such a taboo thing.

The Old Jedi Order was destroyed, if/when Luke starts a new one the rules could be completely different and relationships encouraged or at least allowed
