shyt man, with Idris not getting any younger it might be time to kickstart the "John Boyega for James Bond in 2025" movement, get on the wave early. :blessed:

idris not being a superstar is one of the great injustices of moviedom as i can remember. still has time on his side but damn, i felt if he could have snatched that django role from jamie:wow: i never seen women react to a dude like they do idris. women of all races to.

Lucas mad as fukk right now :umad:

http://deadline.com/2015/04/george-lucas-star-wars-stephen-colbert-tribeca-film-festival-1201411904/
"Lucas’ only mention of the upcoming Walt Disney Star Wars films came at the end of the hour talk at the Borough of Manhattan. “I hope it’s successful. The original story was about the father, the children and the grandchildren. They didn’t use my stories and they’ve taken it in a different direction,” said Lucas."
Lucas doesn't have a clue what the actual story is and has barely any involvement at this point :yeshrug:

Rumours are there are legacy characters and Kylo Ren may actually be a Solo/Skywalker along with Kira. And that he is claiming during the movie to be Vader or an heir to Vader (perhaps without knowing that he actually is :ohhh:)

I bet Lucas sold the franchise to Disney with the promise that they would have a female co-lead and a black male co-lead.Lucas is married to a black woman which was :whoa: but he did make Red Tails which earns :win::myman:status imo. Honorary brother if there ever was such a thing. No way Disney would brainstorm a black male lead if it was up to them. They had to take the difficult road and are now $2 billion deep and committed making it work.

thats a good observation. with all due respect to boyega, he is known for only 1 film, and even that film wasnt really seen by a lot of people, so for him to be in all intents and purposes, the lead in possibly thebiggest franchise film ever, that came the fk outta nowhere to me.

That one movie was enough to get people's eyes on him. Tom Hardy's performance in Bronson might not have been seen by many originally, but his performance was incredible enough to get him in the sights of Nolan, and the rest of history. It doesn't always matter how many people see your shyt, sometimes it's enough if the right person sees it.

I agree about this. The Black/White relationship was Lucas. There's no way Disney would have a Black Male LEAD in something like this. People are already being salty on Youtube that Boyega gets to be the Lead in this. Now saying, "This character is black" probably wasn't in the screenplay. But to put an interracial relationship on a movie of this scale is something Hollywood just doesn't do all the time. This was something that happen in the back room deals. Lucas was like

The Main characters will have an interracial relationship.

Disney: No, if we buy it, it's going to be our show.

Lucas: You really think you are the only offer I have?

Disney, OK well do it.

LOL.
