I see where you're coming from. Though I'll say that Palpatine and Yoda were pretty unique in their combat agility. No other force user has been shown to be capable to move at their level. To me, that is an acceptable gap of power between a Yoda and a typical Jedi. You think of Yoda and Palpatine as God-like, but I think that's an over-estimation. If you saw the last few seasons of the Clone Wars, then you would know about some force beings who could truly be deemed God-like.. Yoda is nowhere near that level.
you have to forgive me because
a) i never watched clone wars
b) the prequels aren't canon to me
i prefer to base my star wars expertize off of what i saw in the original movies. but hey to each his own. if you enjoy that stuff more power to you.
deeming the emperor a god-like being is not that farfetched. actually i prefer to think him as the devil himself. i mean i fail to see how a dude who could handle a lightsaber really well is still any match for a guy that was literally able to subjugate an entire galaxy under his thumb through sheer willpower.
the emperor is so strong in return of the jedi he doesn't even have to lift a finger. he has DARTH VADER as a slave.
that's how powerful the emperor is.

Im sure itll be introduced in part 8 how when the camera panned back to the sail barge he flew out the sirlac missing only a single arm (hence the girly scream) and kept the Fett blood line going...

Trailer sucks man. What did you see in it that had you hyped besides the fact it was star wars. The new dark side sword looks stupid. I guess they're just introducing the main players in this trailer and will hit us with a more action Awesome oriented trailer in the future.
Episode one trailer was better then this garbage and look how that turned out
It's called a Teaser man-dude-bro It's not supposed to give you anything. The teasers for the prequels were even more mysterious if I recall correctly.

I know that but i dont understand how high ground/low ground could matter when were talking about vader....Shouldnt a more powerful jedi be able to overcome high ground/low ground to a lesser jedi...
Did they say how many years it was since return of the jedi?
Also, remember they said that monster down there takes a long ass time to digest you? Like decades or something?

In the books he escaped the creature, supposedly because of his armour he was able to "fight his way out". But we will see if they go in another direction with him this time, if he appears at all. Maybe he is dead in this timeline?

Real talk there are only two movies that I've been literally waiting to see since I was 11 years old. A Black Panther film and a Star Wars episode 7 flick. I'm not even gonna lie and act like my inner child started stanning HEAVY as I was watching this trailer. The best parts of Christmas as a kid was opening presents and then later on watching Star Wars with my father
Seeing John Boyega as the lead warms my Black Excellence heart
ONE thing I DO NOT want is for Luke to be a Sith. That shyt makes ZERO sense considering the events of Return Of The Jedi and Luke totally rejecting the Dark Side.
Luke flirted with the dark side already. thats why he was dressed in all black at the start of ROTJ..
Remeber he just turned to the dark side, he's very unstable, inexperienced, and is like 21-22 years old, extremely young for someone already on par with a Jedi Master. But Obi-Wan knew Anakin very well, knew weaknesses, and was level headed and very experienced. And Obi-Wan just got lucky with the environment of their battle as well. Given all those factors it would be very surprising if Anakin won. And in the higher ground scene, Anakin was embroiled in rage, and got arrogant, so he attempted the jump and got his legs cut off
