i think we talking about the same thing.. it was 3 minute shorts...

im not talking the 2008 CGI movie

you're right I'm not talking about the 2008 cgi movie, they were one of two animated movies about the Clone Wars in 2004 or 2005 that I rented from the video store

if there's still a Cartoon Network series I missed I gotta check it out breh

also Grievous was crazy nice in that second clip you posted, it was so long ago I forgot that specific scene lol 😂

42 Million Worldwide for the 20th Anniversary edition of "Revenge of the Sith". Considering everyone has this on DVD and can see it on streaming, that shows you how much this movie's replay value has grown over the last 20 years. Lucas went out with a bang with this movie.

Can anyone of the hardcore Star Wars fan explain why ya bullied hayden christensen so much back then? :jbhmm: I actually enjoyed that trilogy growing up and I never understood the hate he got

There was a lot of criticism of his performance in "Attack of the Clones" back then. What some of the people not liking it didn't take in the consideration was Lucas wanted to showed Anakin as young and unstable. This was Vader's orgin story. We've only knew Vader as this menacing Villain for decades. Now Lucas wanted you to have sympathy for him. Just like at the end of "Return of the Jedi". So he wrote the character in a way of a annoying spoiled brat, then an emotional teenager to finally an unstable young Man.

In "Episode I" he was a little Boy like Elementary school then by "Episode II" he's basically like a teenager that just graduated high school and by Episode III he was basically like a College graduate. But it was some of his acting and some of Lucas's dialog that people threw rocks at. I didn't think he did that bad but Ewan was definitely the better actor. Hayden actually has way more love now then he did back then over 20 years ago. He did get some love for "Sith" but there were still some saying they didn't like his performance.

Man this snuck up on me that it's the 20th anniversary of this one. I remember me and my roommates saw it as a midnight screening. We were in line with all the crazies haha. My college town only had around 30K people when school was in session (12K for the campus/18K for the town itself). Theater was just an 8 plex, but even still we got there probably around 11/1130 ish and the line wasn't a disaster but it was long

What's crazy though is that it's still my favorite of the prequels, but I like it less each time I re watch it. Don't really know when that started. It will always be better than the other two prequels. But, the older I get it just doesn't land with me like it used to. I will say the Qui Gon and then Obi Wan v Darth Maul battle in Phantom Menace grows on me every year. I liked it originally, but now I just outright love it. If I catch Phantom Menace on TV in syndication, I clock where it's at so I can make sure to flip back for that part.

My sister, who knows about Star Wars, recently watched this movie, and she has the most aggressive Pro-Anakin stance I've ever seen :dead:

if someone told me that was their favorite moment in star wars history I wouldn't even complain. Its a top ten to me. I'd say, off the top of my head:

  1. I am your father
  2. Binary Sunset
  3. ROTJ - When palpatine arrives 'RISE my friend...:birdman:" ..." everything is proceeding as I've forseen :demonic:'
  4. Death Star trench run
  5. Rogue one ending
  6. Obi Wan / Qui Jin vs. Maul
  7. Luke vs Vader, ROTJ, with Palpatine egging on
  8. Vader gets the drop in Cloud City
  9. Kylo Ren stopping the blast in mid air, TFA
  10. Obi vs Vader, ROTS
  11. Order 66
  12. Yoda vs. Dooku
  13. Early ANH - Vader choking out empire dudes 'your lack of faith disturbing' and Tarkin putting HIM in check
  14. Luke showing up in Mandalorian
  15. Kylo & Rey vs. guards
  16. Anakin Killing Dooku
  17. First order blowing up mad planets
  18. Luke Raises X-wing
  19. The only animated one for me - obi vs. Darth Maul where he switches thru stances
  20. Hyperspace destroying a ship in i think the last jedi

Rogue one ending
I feel like if you have never seen a Star Wars film, or know nothing about Darth Vader. That ending of Rogue One when he comes in and starts fukking up dudes is so crazy. Like that is why Vader is always on the ultimate villain lists etc. Like everything about that brought terror to Star Wars like they haven't shown before in my opinion. We really didn't know what to expect with Rogue One and it was quite a fun film. But, all we could talk about when leaving the theater was what Vader did at the end.

Went to see this in the theaters. Dope movie :salute:
Said it before and I've said it again, I was wrong about the prequels. Not putting them over the OG's but I still respect that they told a complete story and added something to the saga.

Order 66 :mjcry:

Since we're talking about the GOAT Star Wars moments:
1. Luke vs Vader on Cloud City/"I am your father"
2. Anakin's redemption
3. Luke blowing up the Death Star
4. "Do or do not. There is no try." (Yoda lifting the X-wing)
5. The Hoth battle. All of it
6. Order 66
7. Obi-Wan and Qui Gon vs Maul
8. The podrace
9. Luke vs Jabba's goons on the sail barge
10. The battle of Geonosis

Honorable mentions:
* Binary sunset
* Han shooting Greedo
* Luke rescuing Leia
* Boba Fett talking back to Vader
* Lando blowing up the Death Star
* The death of Shmi Skywalker/Anakin slaughtering the Tusken Raiders
* the Opera scene in Revenge of the Sith
* Windu vs Palpatine/Anakin’s turn
