Episode III should've been split up into 3 movies, and that could've been the entire trilogy right there. As it is now, we got two movies that are basically nothing but filler and then all the really important stuff got crammed into the last one. Nothing much happens in Episodes I and II that we really need to see. But so much important stuff happens in Episode III that there's not enough time to develop everything. The prequel trilogy should've took place entirely during the Clone Wars. The movies only showed us the very beginning and the very end of the War. And that's what most people wanted to see!

What I always found funny was the prophecy talks about someone bringing balance to the force but the Jedi was basically the dominant majority. They was running shyt
you only had a few Sith hiding in the shadows and as far as the Jedi were concerned the Sith didnt even exist anymore. So Qui Gon dumbass basically brought about the destruction of the Jedi to
fullfill a thousands years old prophecy that said the chosen one would destroy the Jedi order and bring balance to the force I mean after Order 66 you basically had 2 Sith and 2 Jedi of basically equal skill/power in the Force, Obi Won and Yoda vs Sidious and Vader.

Qui Gon in the end was not only a huge piece of shyt but the true villian of the entire series.

another dumb thing about the prequels... palpatine and sideous being the same person.

someone that evil and that powerful would have been sniffed out by the jedi in a heartbeat. you're telling me yoda stood next to the devil himself and was completely unaware of it the entire time? i find that impossible. if sideous is strong enough to conceal himself from the entire jedi order then yoda would have been killed in an instant. and lol how does the leader of the galactic republic find the time to lead a double life as a creepy dark wizard without alerting a single person?

it is never revealed in the OT how the emperor rose to power but i imagine it's not unlike the corporate takeover of our own government. that's how the emperor (the devil) works... through temptation and seduction. he probably infiltrated the system like a virus by bribing high ranking officials.

senator palpatine's role in the PT should have been given to tarkin. he should have been the corrupt politician the emperor was manipulating from behind the scenes.

From what i remember reading (this was years ago) Palpatine family were basically rich Aristocrats from Naboo and Plageous (his master) was a very rich and powerful business owner so he was in prime position to take over once he got the previous chancellor removed.

The thing with the force is that the users of the force have access to a wide variety of teachings and techniques and your born more adept to certain abilities. Sidious was highly adept at the manipulation of force energy which allowed him to not only conceal his identity in the force but also allowed him to muddle and outright block the Jedi abilities to seek guidance from the force and see the future. I remember also reading he was one if not the most powerful dark side practitioners in history he was described as a black hole of the darkside. He was incredibly powerful to the point that Yoda while a superior swordsman and incredibly powerful force user himself couldnt really fukk with him it didnt help that Yoda was like 900 some years old either

It also helped that as far as the Jedi were concerned the Sith were extinct so they werent really expecting anything.

Palpatine being Sidious was actually one of the highlights of the Prequel trilogy for me.

Nice way to go full circle
That was the worst kept secret/movie reveal in cinematic history. Everyone knew his ass was the Sith Lord from the beginning. What was really awful was that nobody in the Jedi fukking council could fell the shyt. I mean all those Jedi masters and no one could even figure it out. Obi Wan even said it and Samuel L just dismissed it as nonsense. Maaaaan dont get me started on trashing this shyt all over again.

:russ: yeah it was obvious, but :ehh: I like continuity shyt, even when it's a little contrived at times.

I would blame the Jedi's arrogance on them not figuring shyt out.

Yoda keeps saying through the prequels how "hard to see" darkside is and how it clouds the future etc... so keeping that in mind :manny: not that far fetched to think someone as powerful as Sidious can hide the shyt when he's trying & when the Jedi are not suspecting it at all. I mean Anakin probably could've figured it out earlier since he was so close to him... but him being so close to him is probably the reason he didn't figure it out before Palpatine pretty much told him that.

"Hey, this Palpatine guy might be evil"

"Ok, let's have our youngest, most impressionable and emotional Jedi hang out with him to see what's up"

The book Rise Of Darth Vader sheds some light on it. After Obi Wan fukked him up, he was useless to Sidious, so Sidious basically treated him as his enforcer. They had separate ships and would be on different parts of the galaxy at any given time. If he wanted Vader, he would send for him. Sidious even designed that suit to keep Vader in check. His mobility was shot, and with the control panel to his respirator, all Sidious had to do is reach out with the force to kill Vader if he started some shyt. He even told him that shyt. The Imperial officers only obeyed Vader in order to not piss Sidious off. They didn't respect Vader a whole lot.

Interesting. I wondered that too; I mean buddy was even talking greasy until Vader G-checked him with the force clamps.

He didn't. Not to spoil, but that statement really made no sense to me until I read something on Wookieepedia that I'm guessing even 95% of Star Wars fans may not even understand or may have missed. If you haven't seen Clone Wars, pay particular attention to some events in Season 3. I kind of dismissed it as some far out adventures, but according to Wookieepedia, it was the seminal event in that(bringing balance to the force) regard. Perhaps the seminal event in all of the Star Wars as we know it, and they kind of glossed over it in the middle of a Cartoon Network series with some random strangeness. My gf asked me, where did the force come from the other day and I thought of this story arc, so I read up on it............................................................ :dahell:, really? Should have made that a part of the movies.

Never watched clone wars what exactly are u talmbout. I guess i need to netflix it ow wuteva
