Really? I felt like Christensen couldn't sell his lines for shyt, he ruined the scene for me, maybe it would have been better if he didnt say anything.

I liked the battle but some parts were just downright ridiculous.(1:26, 1:40, 1:52, 4:53-4:59, 6:06, 6:31, 6:38-6:40)

:stopitslime:
breh, this was suppose to be THE battle.
good vs evil for all the marbles!!
over the top shyt had to be expected!!!

totally unrelated.....

but why was Vader such a bytch in episode 4??

i'm putting my son onto star wars for the first time... and i finally start connecting shyt

soooo vader was the strongest jedi ever... numbers was reading off the chart... even higher than yoda was what was said.... he was the fukking CHOSEN ONE... he murdered the entire jedi... wiped them off the map......................................................

so why was this nikka getting told what the fukk to do by some white haired ship commander

star_wars_a_new_hope_grand_moff_tarkin.jpg

then his other man was talking shyt to his face like he didn't even know his name... like fukk outta here nikka...you and that force bullshyt can suck my dikk :pacspit:

now of course he did get choked within an inch of life.... but if vader was that dude, what would make him think he could talk tough like that

and the only reason he lived... cause old white haired man told vader to stop..

vader should have been second in command.... right by the emperor at all times... or in command of his own ship/fleet or something

what's going on here brehs :mindblown:
The book Rise Of Darth Vader sheds some light on it. After Obi Wan fukked him up, he was useless to Sidious, so Sidious basically treated him as his enforcer. They had separate ships and would be on different parts of the galaxy at any given time. If he wanted Vader, he would send for him. Sidious even designed that suit to keep Vader in check. His mobility was shot, and with the control panel to his respirator, all Sidious had to do is reach out with the force to kill Vader if he started some shyt. He even told him that shyt. The Imperial officers only obeyed Vader in order to not piss Sidious off. They didn't respect Vader a whole lot.

We're talking 20 goddamn years though. Does your memory fade of Michael Jordan and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx? 100 years might be believable, but not when people are still alive and would have witnessed it.

shyt, they even put the Jedi Council building in Coruscant scenes at the end of ROTJ for the Blu Ray release

20 years is an entire generation ... I mean besides us older folk .. my kids dont know who tupac is, they only "heard" of the twin towers.. White folks walkign around bed stuy like everything good.. shyt 20 years ago a white person wouldnt set foot in bed stuy.. .. If history aint teaching it.. it will be forgotten very quickly..

Its very possible..

And order 66 still makes me shed a tear..

i mean they didn't show this "greater power than master yoda" in the first 3 anyway... dude lost head up to obi won...

then in 4, he beats obi straight up, in 6 he kills the emperor, in 5 he beats a young luke head up... i mean i see he was SLOWER.. but less powerful really doesn't come off until dude said so above.... that was never alluded to in the movies... if anything, they didn't even have the backstory of him being most powerful and losing power until the prequels... so why would they know to show that in 4-6

In episode 3 he was arrogant and emotionally unstable .. thats why obi beat him..obi said he had the better ground... arrogant anakin was like i'm the choosen one i can do something crazy and kill him
In 3 he legit beat dooku .. in 2 he was arrogant, rushed dooku and got his hand chopped
in 4 .. obi and him tied then obi let him defeat him
ep 5.. luke wasnt ready.. he been training what 3 weeks... hell, the younglings wouldve beat luke
ep 6 he beat the emperor WITH luke... the 2 of them did it.. by himself luke straight beat vader

Anakin was a creepy bi-polar douche in Episodes 2 and 3

True. Let's put Vader from the classics into perspective though:

Vader was a man who watched and participated in torturing a young woman/princess, then stood by as her home planet was blown up, then murdered his former mentor, then SNITCHED on his own son to the Emperor, then tortured his son's friends to bait him (including the same girl he tortured in the first movie), then beat the shyt out of and dismembered his son, then expected his son to join him in taking over the galaxy, then baited his son and lured him to the Emperor, then protected the emperor from his son, then told his son that he would do the same thing to his daughter (who he, at this point, already tortured twice), then watched as the Emperor tortured his son.

I mean, he did ONE good thing in the old movies - all we had against this is Ben telling Luke that Anakin was once "a cunning warrior, a great pilot, and a good friend" --> that is literally all we had on Anakin. And we saw him being a good fighter, a great pilot and in the end Obi-Wan's friend. He was going to be that dirtbag from the old movies at some point.

Let's not act like Vader was some gray character who had noble intentions, he was a villain through and through - possibly the dopest villain ever, BECAUSE he was so ruthless.

Only Ben speaks positively about him, Yoda/Owen and Beru were all :scust: when they talked about Anakin.

What does your wife think of SW? :lupe: (And congrats)

She loves it, she caught me in Uni wearing a Vader shirt and that was really the first time I noticed her. SO we go back and the SW groundwork for our kid has been laid already.

Obi-Wan was a master of a defensive style of fighting. Dude's main focus in every fight was to just halt progress. Obi was also WISER than Anakin, all the skill in the world can get trumped by some one who has flat out more experience....plainly evidenced by the "high ground".

Chosen One =/= Strongest. Palpatine, Yoda, Mace and to some extent Obi-Wan were all stronger than Anakin at the time. Anakin had the largest upside to his Jedi game though. Dude was still only like 21 at the time. Had he had more time with a proper QB coach and a good offensive line dude woulda been unfukkwithable.
You underestimate me!!!

Dude was fukkin furious :mjlol: He hated that nikka because he realized he wasnt shyt.

Anakin was an arrogantlil shyt from the get-go, even as a slave. "I can fix anything" "I'm the only human that can pod race" "I dreamed I was a Jedi and came back and freed the slaves". Mofos especially Sebulba been telling him he was the ish since a runt. He probably ran his household. No wonder it was so easy for Palpatine to cap him up. Matter of fact, how did they let Palpatine get so close to him? The Jedi were complete fukk ups. After Qui Gonn was killed, why did they keep sending Obi Wan on missions? That's their only Jedi? Who was responsible for him when Obi Wan was away? They already said he was too old to start training, and there was a reason for that, BUT these mofoss were so convinced that he was the Chose One. They should've kept him under Mace.

he's luke's father, that's the cherry on top. that's what puts it over the moon. this guy might as well be the devil himself to luke. he leads the empire, he kidnapped the princess, he murdered your mentor and hero, he kidnapped and tortured your friends... and he's your FATHER!

i don't believe the PT portrayed anakin the way he should have been portrayed. the guy basically turned to the dark side because he was tricked. yea he had a dark streak in him but that's not what palpatine exploits in order to get him to turn, he uses his love for padme.

plus i don't see how anakin would be able to forsee padme's death. "always in motion the future is" said yoda. no one, not even jedi, can predict random events like that. that's beyond jedi shyt. also it's not like anakin was meditating when he discovered it, he was sleeping. the way lucas filmed the scene it comes off more like a nightmare, which makes it more weird.

plus, and this is the worst part, once episode 3 is over... anakin KNOWS the emperor is lying! he KNOWS he's been duped! padme died! you turned JUST so you can save her! now that she's dead and this evil dude has clearly revealed himself to be a hoax, why haven't you chopped his fukking head off yet!?!?

this is why when i have kids i am not showing them the prequels. they aren't star wars to me. they will have to discover them on their own.

Honestly one of my favorite movies of alltime despite the glaring faults. This movie could've been GOAT level of they made Anakin's change more realistic.

And I don't care what anyone says that final fight is the best fight seen I've even seen outside of anime:wow:.
I still go back and watch that lightsaber battle. It's simply amazing IMO :wow:

Movie was good, saw it in theaters. Main things i didn't like was how the fight scenes were not as good as they could have been. Obi Wan vs General Grievous was a joke and GG went down too fast. Dude just started hacking off arms and shyt like he was a scrub. Then the battle where they tried to arrest Palpatine. They wasted so much potential for an epic fight scene. They should've shown some type of matrix effects to show how outmatched they were against him. But no, instead he just rushes in and like 3 guys fall over dead. So lame. The yoda vs palpatine fight was better but yoda went out like a complete bytch. Had i been the director, once palpatine started throwing those senate pods, i would've had yoda deflect that shyt and then just cause the walls to start caving in on some boss shyt. They should have made that THE fight of the entire series but it was like all the other ones. That whole fight should have had like an earthquake effect the entire time or something like that to show that they were both straining so hard to overcome the other. Like imagine if two powerful psychics were trying to use their abilities on each other, they would be straining so hard that the room and shyt would be shaking and shyt would be flying all over the place. It was good, but not as good as it could have been. Not even excited at all for the next one.

I chalk this up to Episode 4 being the first Star Wars movie made and Lucas didn't have the whole story mapped out at that time. He wasn't even sure if he was going to make a sequel. That's the only rational explanation.

Hell, there's a huge difference between Vader's authority in the first film versus the rest of the original trilogy. In the sequels, everyone is scared shytless just to be around Vader. In the first one, he's clearly a high-ranking member and is well-respected but that's it. People aren't scared to death of him.
