No Whammies!!
Outstanding finale. The use of music in this episode was unfukkingreal :wow: :wow:

:wow: :wow: Andor needs awards.... lots of 'em. The tension at the town square was some pinnacle Game of Thrones sh-t... :damn:

Not saying that it's on the same level, but I couldn't help thinking about "The Godfather" during the procession scene:

if u watched this and came away with less than a 9/10 rating then i'd suggest quitting Star Wars and maybe TV altogether..
This isn’t even a top 5 TV show this year lol…. Can see why people enjoyed it so possibly top ten but it’s definitely not in mine - I can think of ten I enjoyed more than this.

I actually did that. I watched it in 3 episode blocks and it added a lot to my enjoyment.

This series is fire. Every episode is good and Luthen is my favorite star wars character since the OT
I’ll probably rewatch over Christmas when I have more time - gonna do a rewatch of The Peripheral this weekend.

Episodes moved to slow for me for a week to week watch…first episode was great but it went into a lull after that. Was distracted by my phone a lot as well as it wasn’t engaging me so I’m sure I missed a few things - what happened with the proposal for Mon Mothma’s daughter? Did that storyline even come to a conclusion?

We don’t know if a proposal will happen but she allowed him to visit with his son. We’ll probably go deeper into the story next season.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO shout out to @Nature Boy Ric Flair he needs to stamp this show with the authentic seal of approval.

Excellent writing throughout, didn’t try to slide dumbass inconsistencies past us like other Disney+ Star Wars shows. For example in Kenobi, Reva has her battalion ready to attack but first they have to break through the bunker door so they’re preparing to do that while the rebels use that time to try to escape oblivion for Reva to eventually to break through the door with her lightsaber leaving us all sitting with the obvious question of why she ain’t do that in the first place??? Oh because they wanted some tension only to immediately undercut it for the sake of a bullshyt ass “cool” moment. That show was riddled with moments like that which were just lazy and eliminated any suspense because you knew the writers would shoehorn in whatever result they wanted. In Andor they stayed consistent and there were consequences for people. Even if it was just side characters getting merked or the leads having to do grimey shyt you wouldn’t think they’d led main characters do in a Disney+ Star Wars series.

On top of that the dialogue was piff all the way through. Those ISB meetings were a pleasure to watch, Qyburn and Dedra killed it everytime. Luthen and Maarva both had great monologues.

Overall was blown away by this show. When it was announced I was literally like nobody wants this but they first trailer they dropped looked piff and it lived up to the hype. By far the best Star Wars content to come from Disney imo.

What 2022 shows were better than this? :jbhmm:

I can't remember what I watched last week, but I don't think I've enjoyed anything more than this in the last several months.

I would say:

Winning Time
Righteous Gemstones
House of the Dragon
The Peripheral
We Own The City

Those were weekly watches as well and they held up on a week to week basis.

Everything else I watched this year bar Lord of the Rings were binge watches so I’ll refrain from stating any other shows before I binge watch this to give it fair chance.

Personally
1) Atlanta
2) Severance
3) Better call Saul

Some might say House of the Dragon. Reacher, Peacemaker, Bel Air, The Old Man, Sandman, Ozark, etc.

On the animated tip Arcane, What If, Cyberpunk 2077. Not even gonna touch anime.

This was a good year for TV.

Fair enough, everything is subjective but I got Andor over all of those except We Own The City. I haven’t seen the Peripheral though. Those shows were all dope though. Feels like Winning Time dropped forever ago though.

Arcane is great but that was last year. Cosign Atlanta, Cyperpunk, and Severance tho. :myman:

If we talking top 5. For me it's been:
Atlanta
The Bear
Mo (Atlanta heads should watch)
The Capture S2
Severance

If Peripheral aces the finale I'm swapping Mo out of third place.

:wow:

lot's going on, they just don't spell it out for the viewer.

Luthen is on a journey. One that he cannot reverse.
