Why do some people keep bringing up old age when Danny Green is 25 and TP is 30 and they were sent home

Because if you're sending Manu and Duncan home, why not send Green and Parker too so they can rest instead of struggling through a game where they're overmatched? It wouldn't make sense to have Parker out there busting his ass playing hero ball without Duncan and Manu. He already logs a ton of minutes and takes a lot of bad falls in the lane. Might as well give Green a rest too.

Pop obviously IS worried about other teams because he probably felt they were going to lose this game anyway and completely tanked it to get his poor babies some rest. He had terrible logic anyway since he should have factored in the possibility that they might be battling the Heat for home court if they both make the Finals and to drop one of 2 meetings because he thinks he is smarter than the world is just idiotic. If anything, he should have tanked against the Raps or Wiz since he knows he won't have to worry about them taking HC advantage in the Finals.

Stern hit the Spurs with a big fine because you don't want this to become in any way to become a trend around the league.

Popivich already has a rep for sitting starters at random times which is a dissservice to fans coming coming out to see to see Duncan and co play but its gets a pass. Not even having them come to a game is ridiculous and I bet Stern had a chat with Pop personally about it.

shyt is bigger than just this game.
