Duncan would have 2 titles maximum without Tony and Ginobili. Kawhi and Danny Green carried him in 2013 and 2014. TD was getting washed by the Lakers consistently, the only times he didn't is when they were bickering with each other.
Yikes @ this revisionist history. Duncan was the best player on the 2013 run and completely turned back the clock that season. Those guys would have maybe 1 title without Duncan in '14 but not having Duncan's defensive impact and clutch buckets throughout that run would be a major hit.

TD was getting washed by the Lakers because his supporting cast was poor and the team was lost without him on the floor on offense and defense.

Danny Green wouldve won finals MVP in 2013, thats no revisionist history, you had to see the series to know he was the most important player on the floor for SA during that series how he was shutting down transition buckets and hitting timely shots. Plus that series was Kawhi's coming out party. He was putting clamps on both Bron and Wade at times, scoring and rebounding. TD had a huge game 7 and blew it on a ewing style missed layup, but that game shouldve never happened, kawhi missed a game clinching free throw

1999: 29 pts, 11 reb, 2 blk
2001: 23 pts, 12 reb, 4 blk
2002: 29 pts, 17 reb, 3 blk
2003: 28 pts, 12 reb, 5 ast
2004: 21 pts, 12 reb, 2 blk

Yeah, Duncan really was getting washed during those playoff series.

Had they won, Duncan locked up Finals MVP with that 25 point first half in Game 6. Leading scorer for the Spurs during that series as well.

Lol at the excuses. And if we’re using excuses then take away the Lakers 04 win because Fisher bailed the Lakers out with that 0.4 shot out of his ass lol. Bottom line is they Results are the results can’t make excuses for them

Look at the team around him he won a title with that year. He had very little in 03

Nobody who watches basketball denies Duncan’s greatness and being top 10 all time
You're missing his entire point which is even when Duncan fell off the Spurs kepts pushing due to a great organization. From the GM to trainers to scouts & development.

Even after Khawi they'll move forward. You can have a great player but if everything else is shyty(see Knicks) it's not gonna matter big picture wise

Spurs management need to step in here. Pop is so pissed at Kawhi that he’s gonna trade him for pennies on the dollar to the east just to spite him and in turn destroy the future of the franchise

Everyone thought Indy got fleeced last year cause they trade PG to OKC to spite him and it worked out

Yeah but you said carried him and Duncan had a better series than both of them for pretty much every series, the only person you could argue was Tony Parker (especially in that Grizzlies series). TP and Duncan were leading that team in 2013, Kawhi gets wayy too much credit for being a high end role player with elite defense back then. This dude wasn't carrying the team like Bron and Kobe had too.

Duncan was also the most consistent throughout that series and like @VBM said, he would have won FMVP if it ended in game 6

Duncan beat Kobe and Shaq in their prime in 03’ and won a title with Stephen Jackson as his sidekick and Speedy Claxton starting games

Duncan made people’s careers not the other way around

Did you forget Tony Parker was a factor in 03 postseason? No one could stop his penetration into the paint.

Paul George ain't staying in no damn Oklahoma City. Ya'll really dumb for believing this trash :mjlol:

He just might. Think about it, he gets the most money in OKC and he will never face any backlash, it's always going to be Sabo's fault.
