I did/do. I created the list probably in the beginning of covid when i was really deep diving on some favorite movies, and then adding movies as i thought they were worthy. I was up to 90 when i made yesterdays thread, and added ten more as i was suggested/recalled omissions (like ghostbusters and clerks).

Well ill start with butterfly effect…when it came out, i was never a fan of kutcher. But i love time travel movies (as you see with looper, the terminators and of course a top ten in bttf film on my list) and i was going through some shyt at the time…so “what if i was able to change my current situation” story was perfect for me. and in that movie he tries to make sure all the people he cared for would be better off for his choices when hes changing things but there is always one person who ends up in a much worse situation than they were in beforehand…till he realized that they would be better off if he never came into their lives. That shyt kinda blew my mind, and i watch it a few times a year. Kinda movie i can pick up anytime if its on and watch to the end, like shawshank or goodfellas or ferris bueller.

Rocketman- i grew up on elton john. Hes my parents GOAT and while i have always appreciated his music he was never my favorite artist. But i thought Taron was absolutely fantastic as Elton and even singing the songs himself was tremendous. The fact that the year before Remi Malek got an oscar for lip syncing freddie Mercury will always piss me off.
Edit: also when he overdoses and rocketman starts and he comes out of his overdose and continues the song…one of my favorite scenes from any movie ever…

bleed for this is one of my fav boxing movies period. I heard my uncles growing up talking about the story..like at family parties my uncles would be talking about greatest boxers and storys of some of the best…and even tho they took liberties with the actual fights (irl he won in the 12 round not second)and the fact he fought a bunch before the big title fight and the movie pretty much just focuses on his championship fight, i fukk with it. I like miles teller in the role. Thought it was very well acted and very well directed.

and now that i think of it, how did i leave the fighter off my list? shyt that movie is doooope….

definitely for me. when i was in middle and high school i watched all the classic scorsese movies and then i thought raging bull was overrated and not on the level of taxi driver and goodfellas

a few years ago i was rewatching all those movies and raging bull really hit me. everything about that movie is perfect to me
