Jay's albums are very hit or miss for me. Especially those volume series of albums. He has some flat out songs that didnt age well. Reasonable doubt, blue print, american gangster are his highlights. Misses magna carta, kingdom come, blue print 3, a good amount of blueprint 2, the r Kelly albums. At this point people just give Jay the default goat discography and title. In my opinion nas discography has aged much better. If you listen to illmatic, it was written, I am, gods son, stillmatic, lost tapes life is good, untitled, distant relatives and kings disease they all sound good and age appropriate. Even those 90s to early 2000s projects.
