Blueprint 2 was the only album of his I liked
U don't really believe this right? Nas "the nikka tape" don't have 600k views bro on the biggest mixtape site
Man mixtape downloads was countin in 08 bruh. Wayne was getting a million download in a day. Nas my nikka. I'm gonna stop shytting on himWho cares what "views" it has on the biggest mixtape site . It came out in 2008 before anyone measured views on mixtape sites like that and you were downloading your tapes from anywhere. It was praised heavily by XXL, Pitchfork and Spin. Spin even put on their best music of 2008 list. A mixtape.
And Clue was dropping the most heard mixtapes in the late 90s and early 00s which had unreleased Nas joints. The Firm freestles/Jackin for beats 96 anyone?

Let me preface this by saying that Jay is an incredible MC and definitely one of my favorites of all time.
But let's be real: argument can be made that he has made the most dud ass albums out of any of the all-time greats. He has at least 4 trash ass albums (Blueprint 2 and 3, Kingdom Come and MCHG) and several underwhelming albums. And he had the gall to say Nas is batting a 1 hot album every 10 year average?
Speak on it @wingstop
This thread is an emotional petty response to the thread about nas's discography. Nas and Kobe fans are the most bytchmade insecure fan bases in the Internet. The guy has 3 actual classic albums and you're calling his whole discography borderline trash.
Sometimes I wish they would require IQ tests to connect to the Internet.
Honestly, I think Jay-Z's output is comparable to LL. LL has classics (i.e. Radio, Mama Said Knock You Out). But LL fell off hella times in the 90's with many wack albums. The only reason I think LL doesn't get mentioned among the GOATs (he basically coined that term btw) is because the 80's and early 90's are like ancient history now. It's like how everyone loves Jordan but no one gives props to Dr. J or Magic anymore. And the Blueprint does sound dated as hell. Just reminds me of 6XL Galaxy tall tees, size 60 throwback jerseys and size 44 Akademiks jeans on size 32 waists and Sean Jean velour suits with head bands and Timbs . Those sped up soul samples don't sound like big budget big money top of the rap game production and never did . Maybe the Blueprint will sound better in ten years when early 2000's nostalgia replaces 90's nostalgia. But I doubt it.
