I have a feeling that the same way Billy Ocean views Jay's discography is the same way some people are going to look back at Drake's discography when it's all said and done....

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
:russ:
Blueprint 2 was garbage but still in the timeframe of the Nas beef so everybody ran to see if jay had one more jab to throw on his way to the canvas.

It being a double disk made people say wow that's a classic..smh..

"It's the blueprint 2 homie follow the moves, you put on two tubes socks you couldn't walk in my shoes"
:hhh:
nobody ever said bp2 was a classic.. jay wouldn't even have said that.. matter of fact he admitted it was a bunch of filler and dropped that 2.1 shyt

:gag: stillmatic has songs like braveheart party, smokin, rule

:gag: the production is weak too
production has always been nas biggest fault.. after illmatic it was a steady decline.. he's the east coast ras kass.. amazing fukking lyrics over the shyttiest beats known to man

and what makes it worse, HE'S fukkING NAS... every producer in the game would love to give nas beats.. when he on features, he's on the dopest beats, killing shyt... then he gets his way on his albums and it's 80% trash beats

I've been a fan of Jay since the Original Flavor days but there is truth to this thread. I rarely go back and listen to his stuff.

SOHH ICEY N.O.
He forgets if he's going to mention non album cuts, Nas is ahead of Jay on that
Nah i already gave nas credit wit the Lost tapes when that's not even a studio album. Jay has a 100 classic radio features, something nas doesn't even do. Not to mention features and the s. Carter collection.

Vol 1 didn't have anything as awful as that track with Mariah

I actually think that and the juvie song are good pop commercial submissions on that record.

Thread is the truth.
Jay, has not made an album really worth a damn since vol III. After the intro to dynasty. that was the last time we heard the jayz that was jayz other than show you how and I think that was a carryover and re recorded like how people's court and a few other b sides in that era were.
After laser in ya ear jay was done as a consistent quality listen

So does Nas. See the J Love tapes, El Dorado Black Project, nikka Tape and Clue cuts

:yeshrug: Most people haven't even heard nas none album cuts. So it's just nas stans that rate that high. And I'm a huge nas fan myself

And literally everyone who heard mixtapes the past 18 years. Clue's notoriety alone ensures they have
