Probably went it first dropped. Backpackers and the other nerdy types were mad that their Golden child was rapping street mafioso shyt and shyt on it. But by the time Takeover came out, late 2001, most people knew that IWW was a brilliant album and probably had some of Nas best verses ever on it. Camel knew that album was dope and I guarantee you he was a fan of it but of course he told people it was meh and sheep followed.

Blueprint 2 and MCHG are definitely weed plates but I think Blueprint 3 gets slagged too much. The timbo tracks really drag it down but its highs are super high. Thank You, DOA, Real as it Gets, Already Home, and So Ambitious>>>>>>>>>>

It's Vol. 1 status for me. Their are some genuine duds but its best tracks keep me coming back.

Jay has RD, blueprint, American gangster and the black album.

Nas has illmatic, it was written and stillmatic. (we are not counting lost tapes).

In no way is stillmatic better than any of those Jay z albums I mentioned.

Stillmatic is better than anything than RD.
BP is arguable. AG and TBA are not.

Yeah, I'm 25 so I obviously wasn't listening to rap when it first dropped, but when I went back that album was always fukking fire since the first time I heard it...and probably my favourite Nas album tbh.
