Ironman 3 was one of few times I personally felt trolled in real life
They trolled everybody. That trailer makes the movie look dark, gritty and epic.
Instead we got, whatever it is iron man 3 is. A terrible movie thats for sure. Soon as the movie started and they trot out guy pearce looking like an extra from revenge of the nerds i knew i was in for a garbage film.
Both were disappointing but TDKR was easily the better movie. It just needed a stronger closing act, but didnt quite get there. Iron Man 3 dragged in the middle and shyt they tried with the villian annoyed me.
Hm guess I'm on the outside with this one..I really like Iron Man 3. Mostly for all of the reasons that people have said they hate it: I thought the twist was funny although I'll agree they replaced him with a terrible villain but Dark Knight Rises KINDA did the same thing. It pulled a twist and reduced it's imposing villain to a lackey of a much worse villain. I liked the fact that it was about Tony really figuring out who he is outside of that suit and getting away from being Iron Man. It felt different and just worked for me with the humor, the action, the dialogue, it was awesome to me.

I enjoyed IM3 more than TDKR, but I'm a Shane Black fan. I could watch a whole movie of Tony arguing with the kid if Black wrote it.
glad I'm not alone on that. I do think my love for Shane Black has a lot to do with my love for that movie

Yeah, I'm probably blinded by fanboyism but I'm such a sucker for Shane Black dialogue that I'd take it over Nolan's heavy-handed exposition any day of the week.
Iron Man 3 was a pile of crap which saddens me to say because I am a Shane Black fan.
TDKR was an ambitious movie that fell short in some areas but still was good.
