A burger flipper can get a job at 16 or 17 with absolutely no experience. So now look at the experience the CEO has and look at how wide that gap is in skills and experience. I think you're right though that CEO's in America are overpaid but doesn't say this dude don't have the skills to pay the bills.

Yeah, my overall point is they are able to negotiate these huge ass payrates and no one gives a damn

But, let the workers talk about they want $15 and everyone wants to stick their chest out on some "know your role" type shyt.

At $15, the people who normally get jobs at the low end of the fast food org chart would be replaced by older and higher educated people.

Bruh, any grown ass person who works at Mcdonalds in non-management lost in life in the first place. Jobs like that are for kids and ex-cons tryna prove they can make it in society. I work in employment training and this is a problem in our community. People refuse to get skills and want these jobs to pay them good wages for low skill jobs. I'm running into too many nikkas that have one skill which is warehouse worker. Basically lifting boxes and moving shyt on hand trucks and want $15.00 an hour to do that. You know that people who invested in education and have great experience aren't even making 15.00 an hour these days. You have people with masters making that much and they put in that hard work to get the higher paying jobs.

Yeah, but most of this shyt boils down to corporate greed and Technology advanced faster then society

30 years ago if your only skill was box lifter you could make enough money to support a family and retire with a pension.

It's not all on the people who don't have "elite skills" because everyone can't be in IT or an engineer

NY is also one of the most expensive places in the country.....moving needs to be considered which people refuse to do as well.

Its not easy out there and if you arent constantly trying to improve your skills you're going to be left behind. You think people enjoy the rat race of NY? It fukkin sucks.

I have degree from UA an a masters from UAB.

I work for a firm. That's all you get

So, regarding the owners of your firm, do you sit there and
frustrated.gif
when you realize they make more money than you and get salty?

Let me see if I can put this in terms that you'd understand. There's a reason why Jay-Z is where he is and there's a reason why Bleek is where he is. Obviously Jay-Z has the smarts and saavy to make money. Should he pay his bartenders in 40/40 the same as him?

People are different, at the end of the day, the world needs ditch diggers and competition can be a good thing.

You're right, what I'm saying is if some is working full time it should be enough to live on.

I know welfare, Medicaid and tax breaks are suppose to bridge the gap betweent minimum wage and livable but I don't know if it is working.

I guess there could be a happy medium obtained given the fact that if you've got enough money for a franchise, let alone in a higher income area, then there may be some give.

But, those people will probably just say to them they can get another job (which is really common) or those can try to work their way up.

:dead: at going to college to get a job making 15/hour... That's just over 30 racks a year.

Of course ceo's deserve to be paid more.... But not nearly as much more as they're being paid now. Executive compensation is out of control.
